I finally replaced that old armchair in my living room corner, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with this brown leather wingback I picked up! The faux leather feels pretty convincing – definitely not that cheap plastic-y feel you sometimes get with budget options. It’s super soft to the touch but seems durable enough to handle my cat occasionally jumping on it (fingers crossed).
Assembly wasn’t too bad at all. Took me maybe 20 minutes, and I’m definitely not the handiest person. All the parts were there, instructions made sense, and it wasn’t nearly as frustrating as that IKEA bookshelf I tried to put together last month.
The chair is surprisingly comfortable for how structured it looks. The high back actually supports my neck when I’m reading, which is a huge plus compared to my old chair that always gave me that weird neck crick after an hour. The cushioning is firm but not uncomfortable – kind of like a good restaurant booth seat if that makes sense? The armrests are at just the right height for me (I’m 5’7″), and I can curl up in it pretty comfortably.
I went with the brown version, and it matches my mid-century coffee table way better than I expected. The metal legs have this sleek look that works with most of my existing furniture. It’s not a huge chair either – about 32 inches wide, 34 inches deep, and 40 inches tall – so it fits perfectly in my apartment’s reading nook without overwhelming the space.
One thing I really appreciate is how easy it is to clean. My nephew spilled juice on it last weekend, and I just wiped it down with a damp cloth – good as new! That wouldn’t have happened with my old fabric chair, let me tell you.
The weight capacity is 300 pounds, which is pretty standard but reassuring. The chair itself only weighs about 35 pounds, so I can move it around without calling for backup. Those little adjustable foot pegs on the front legs are actually super useful because my hardwood floor isn’t perfectly even, and now it doesn’t rock at all.
To be fair, I was a bit skeptical about faux leather at first, but it’s actually kind of nice knowing no animals were involved, and I’m not constantly worrying about conditioning it like real leather. Plus, it doesn’t get as cold in the winter!

Oh, and they also have it in charcoal gray and ivory if brown isn’t your thing. I almost went with the gray, but my dog sheds like crazy on lighter furniture. I’ve had it for about a month now, and it’s become my go-to spot for morning coffee and evening reading. Best $200-ish I’ve spent on my apartment in ages!
