This green baby booster seat has honestly been such a lifesaver since I got it! I take my 18-month-old pretty much everywhere, and finding a decent place for him to sit can be a real headache.
I’ve been using this chair for about two months now, and it’s kind of amazing how versatile it is. We’ve taken it to restaurants (bye-bye gross high chairs!), the beach, and even just in our backyard when we’re having a BBQ. It’s super lightweight – only 4.5 pounds, which is lighter than my diaper bag, to be fair. My little guy is about 25 pounds now, and the chair holds him perfectly fine since it’s rated for kids up to 33 pounds.
The folding feature? Total game-changer. I can’t tell you how many bulky baby items I’ve regretted buying that just take up the entire trunk. This thing folds down to about the size of a small laptop bag (12″ x 8″ x 8″) and has this handy little handle. I usually just toss it in with our beach stuff or slide it under the stroller when we’re out.
The tray system is pretty cool too. There are actually two trays – one snaps on top of the other. Not gonna lie, my son still manages to make a mess sometimes, but those raised edges definitely help contain the disaster zone! The cup holder is a nice touch, though my kid still thinks it’s hilarious to flip his sippy cup upside down… What I really like is that you can take the tray off completely when they’re ready to sit at the table with you. We’ve done this at my parents’ house and it works great.
I was a bit worried about stability at first – especially at the beach – but the base is wider than you’d expect (14″ x 14″) and those rubber feet actually do grip pretty well. We’ve used it on sand, grass, and my sister’s slippery hardwood floors without any issues. The 3-point harness keeps my wiggle monster relatively contained, though he’s definitely testing its limits lately!
Cleaning is not bad at all. The fabric cover comes off and you can throw it in the washing machine, which I’ve done twice after particularly spectacular spaghetti incidents. For normal messes, I just wipe it down with a wet cloth. The green color hides stains better than I expected too!
I originally bought this for a beach vacation, but honestly, we use it all the time now. It’s comfier than those wooden restaurant high chairs, and my son seems to actually enjoy sitting in it. The plastic frame feels pretty sturdy, definitely not like it’s going to collapse or anything.
If I had to nitpick, I wish the seat was maybe an inch or two higher sometimes, but for most tables it works fine. All in all, probably one of the most useful baby purchases I’ve made this year!
