I finally found the perfect chair for my little one! So I picked up this ARLIME Kids Recliner Chair a couple weeks ago, and honestly, it’s been such a game-changer in our living room.
The comfort on this thing is pretty impressive. It’s covered in this soft PU leather that feels really nice – definitely not that cheap plastic-y stuff you sometimes get with kids’ furniture. My daughter (she’s 4) absolutely loves how plush it is! The padding is kind of thick and bouncy, and it hasn’t gotten all flat or lumpy even though she basically lives in it now. The backrest actually supports her little spine really well, which makes me feel better about her lounging in it for cartoon marathons.
The reclining feature is what sold me, to be fair. You can adjust it anywhere between sitting up straight at 90° to basically laying back at 150°, which is super versatile. My daughter figured out how to work it herself after like day two, which was both impressive and slightly terrifying! She’ll sit up when she’s coloring or playing her games, then lean back when she’s tired. It’s become her designated spot for afternoon power naps.
One thing I didn’t expect to love so much? The cup holder! Such a simple addition but it’s saved us from countless spills. She keeps her water bottle right there within reach, and I’m not constantly playing “where did you put your juice” anymore.
Cleaning this chair is way easier than her old fabric one. My daughter had a little “art accident” with some markers last week, and I nearly had a heart attack, but it wiped right off with a damp cloth! No staining or anything. That’s worth the price alone for someone with a messy kiddo.
The chair feels pretty sturdy too – it’s got this solid wood frame underneath all the cushioning. We got the pink one, and it’s actually cuter in person than in the photos. It’s holding up to some rough use too – my daughter likes to climb all over furniture (don’t they all?), and this thing hasn’t budged or shown any wear.
Size-wise, it’s more compact than our regular armchair but still substantial enough that she hasn’t outgrown it. It’s about 24 inches long, 21 wide and 28 high, which fits perfectly in the corner of her bedroom. It’s heavier than I expected though – around 25 pounds – so not something you’ll want to move around the house constantly.
The non-slip feet are a nice touch since we have hardwood floors, and they actually work. No more chair skating across the room when she gets excited!
Overall, it’s been a really good purchase for us. My daughter has her own special “big girl chair” that makes her feel grown-up, and I’ve got something that’s actually durable enough to handle a preschooler and looks decent enough to have in our main living space. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it – it’s comfier than those cheap foam flip chairs and will probably last way longer.
