Yoglad Modern Curved Sectional Sofa, Tufted with Metal Legs and Pillows, Grey Velvet, 140″
So I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my living room with this Yoglad curved sectional, and honestly? It’s been a total game-changer for our space. I’d been eyeing it for months after our old sofa started looking pretty sad, and I’m kicking myself for not pulling the trigger sooner.
First off, this thing is built like a tank but doesn’t look bulky at all. The wood frame feels super solid (way better than my last IKEA nightmare that creaked whenever someone sat down), and those metal legs aren’t just for show. We had a housewarming party last weekend, and this bad boy handled like 6 adults without so much as a squeak. It’s supposedly rated for 800 pounds, which, to be fair, we haven’t fully tested yet!
The comfort level is pretty impressive. The cushions have this high-density foam that’s firm but not hard—kind of that perfect middle ground where you don’t sink in too much but also don’t feel like you’re sitting on a board. The grey velvet is surprisingly practical too. My cat already tested its durability with a minor claw incident, and you can barely tell. The fabric has this nice plush feel that’s definitely a step up from the scratchy microfiber on our old couch.
The pillows that came with it were a nice surprise! There are these three natural-colored ones that blend in perfectly, plus three fuzzy white ones that add a bit of personality. My wife immediately claimed one of the fuzzy ones for her side of the sectional, and I’m not gonna lie, I get why—they’re super soft.
Assembly wasn’t nearly the nightmare I was expecting. Took maybe 30 minutes tops, and that includes the time I spent looking for the Allen wrench that was literally right in front of me the whole time. Everything lined up well, and the instructions actually made sense, which is kind of rare these days.
Size-wise, this thing is a beast—about 140 inches across—so definitely measure your space! It comfortably fits our family of four with room to spare. The curved design is really what sold me though. It makes conversation so much more natural when we have friends over compared to our old L-shaped sectional where people at opposite ends could barely see each other.
The 17-inch seat height is pretty standard, maybe slightly lower than what we had before, but I actually prefer it. Makes the room feel more open somehow. We’ve had a couple of overnight guests crash on it too, and while it’s not a proper bed (obviously), they said it was way more comfortable than the typical pull-out sofa bed with the bar that digs into your back.
One thing I wasn’t expecting to love so much is how the curved design actually makes our living room feel bigger. It tucks into the corner so nicely instead of those awkward angles you get with standard sectionals. The grey color is pretty versatile too—not too light to show stains but not so dark that it makes the room feel smaller.
Maintenance has been pretty easy so far. We had a small wine spill (thanks, Dave), but it wiped right up with a damp cloth. The velvet doesn’t seem to trap pet hair as badly as I feared either, which is a huge plus with our shedding machines.
If you’re on the fence about this one, I’d say go for it. It’s definitely not the cheapest option out there, but three months in, I have zero regrets. It’s that perfect blend of looking fancy enough for company but comfortable enough that I still pass out watching Netflix on it regularly.
