OK, so I just got my hands on this Tristram 19″ Pink Velvet High Heel Shoe Chair, and honestly? I’m kind of obsessed with it! When it arrived, I wasn’t totally sure what to expect—I mean, a chair shaped like a heel? But wow, this thing is actually pretty amazing in person.
The pink velvet is super soft—softer than I thought it would be, to be fair. It’s got this rich texture that makes my living room look instantly fancier. I’ve had a few friends over since I set it up, and literally everyone comments on it. My best friend even joked she wanted to “borrow” it (yeah, right!).
Assembly wasn’t bad at all. Took me maybe 30 minutes while I was half-watching Netflix. The instructions were straightforward enough, though I did have to re-read one part about attaching the backrest.
Size-wise, it’s about 40″ high and 19″ wide—perfect for my small apartment corner where I do my makeup. It’s definitely more comfortable than it looks! I wasn’t expecting much in the comfort department, but I can actually sit in it for a good while without any issues. The seat’s about 18.5″ deep with a height of 17.5″, which works well for me (I’m 5’6″).
The weight capacity is supposedly 300 pounds, which seems pretty solid. The chair itself weighs about 36 pounds—I know because I had to lug it up to my third-floor apartment (thanks, delivery guy, for leaving it downstairs!).
I love the little touches like the tufted details and those crystal-looking studs along the edges. They catch the light in a way that’s kind of glamorous without being too over-the-top. Definitely beats my old IKEA chair that was starting to look super sad.
As for maintenance, I’ve just been using a lint roller to keep dust off, and so far, so good. I’m being pretty careful with drinks nearby because I don’t want to risk staining the velvet. The material seems decent quality, but I’m not taking any chances!
If you’re thinking about getting something to make your space pop, this is it. It’s pricier than a regular chair, but it’s also basically a piece of art? I’m using mine in my bedroom corner, but I can totally see this working in a boutique or even a nail salon.
