I finally got that Tribesigns long console table for my apartment, and honestly, it’s been kind of a game-changer for my small living room! I’d been looking for something to fill that awkward space behind my sofa for ages, and this 70.9″ table fit perfectly. The rustic brown finish is actually prettier in person than in the photos – it has this nice vintage vibe that works really well with my mix-and-match furniture situation.
Setting it up wasn’t bad at all. Took me maybe 25 minutes? The instructions were pretty clear, and they included all the tools and stuff I needed. Nothing like those nightmare IKEA builds where you’re left with mystery parts, lol.
What I really love is how slim it is – just under 12 inches wide but super long at almost 71 inches. It doesn’t stick out too far behind my couch but gives me tons of space for my plants, a couple of lamps, and all those coffee table books I’ve collected over the years. I was a bit worried it might be wobbly since it’s so narrow, but it’s surprisingly stable. The metal frame has this crossbar thing that keeps it solid. I’ve got some fairly heavy decorative pieces on it, and it doesn’t budge at all.
The tabletop seems pretty durable too. I accidentally spilled some coffee on it the other day (classic me before my morning caffeine), and it wiped right off without staining. That’s a huge plus in my book! The surface is somewhat scratch-resistant too, though I’m still using coasters just to be safe.
Height-wise, it’s perfect – around 31.5 inches tall, which lines up nicely with the back of my sofa. I was torn between this and a similar one from West Elm that was way more expensive, and to be fair, I think I made the right call going with this one.
The industrial look with the black metal legs and rustic wood top is versatile enough that it’ll probably still work if I change up my decor later on. It’s definitely sturdier than my old Target console table – this one can supposedly hold up to 150 pounds!
If you’ve got a small apartment like mine, this is a pretty good solution for adding some storage and display space without eating up your precious floor area. I’ve seen similar tables going for twice the price, so I’d say it’s not bad at all for the quality.
