TIMBER RIDGE Oversized Folding Camping Chair, High Back, 500lb Capacity, with Cup Holder and Cooler Bag

I’ve recently upgraded my outdoor gear with this TIMBER RIDGE oversized camping chair, and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for me! After dealing with flimsy chairs that barely last a season, I wanted something that could actually handle my 6’2″ frame without feeling like it might collapse any second.
This thing is seriously roomy – the seat is almost 24.5 inches wide with a good 19.75 inches of depth, which is way more comfortable than my old chair. The back height is about 26.5 inches with a total chair height around 42.5 inches, so it actually supports my entire back properly. It’s a bit on the heavier side at almost 17 pounds, but to be fair, that’s the trade-off for something this sturdy.
Speaking of sturdy – wow! The frame is made of this heavy-duty alloy steel that’s powder-coated to prevent rust. My brother-in-law, who’s a pretty big guy (he’s pushing 480 pounds), tried it out during our last family BBQ and it didn’t even creak! That 500-pound capacity rating isn’t just marketing talk, it seems pretty legit.
One thing I absolutely love is the built-in cooler bag on the side. I was kind of skeptical at first, but it actually keeps my drinks cold for a decent amount of time. I managed to fit about 4 cans in there during our last camping trip, which meant fewer trips back and forth to the main cooler. There’s also a cup holder that’s actually useful (unlike those flimsy mesh ones that collapse when you put anything heavier than a soda can in them).
The comfort level is pretty impressive too. The high back design with that padded headrest is perfect for those lazy afternoons watching my kid’s soccer games. The fabric breathes well enough that I don’t end up with a sweaty back, which was always annoying with my previous chair. The armrests are hard plastic rather than padded, which I initially thought might be uncomfortable, but they’re actually positioned at a good height and make it easier to get in and out of the chair.
I’ve been using this chair for everything lately – camping trips, my son’s baseball games, backyard hangouts, and even brought it to a tailgate party last month. When folded up, it’s about 8 x 8 x 43 inches, which is bulkier than those ultra-compact chairs, but still fits fine in my trunk alongside the cooler and other gear. The carry bag is decent quality too – not like those cheap ones that rip after a couple uses.
Other little details I’ve noticed: the polyester fabric seems pretty tough (my dog jumped up on it and her claws didn’t puncture it), it comes in a few different colors (I got the blue one), and it literally takes like 2 seconds to set up. The feet have these non-slip caps that have kept it stable even on our slightly sloped backyard.
For anyone who’s on the larger side or just wants a chair with some actual space to relax in, this is definitely worth checking out. It’s not the cheapest camping chair out there, but after going through two cheaper chairs in the last year alone, I’d say it’s worth the investment for something that doesn’t feel like it’s going to collapse under you!
