Teddy Upholstered Rocking Glider Chair with High Backrest for Nursery, Living Room, Bedroom

So I finally broke down and got that Teddy Upholstered Rocking Glider Chair for the nursery, and honestly? It’s been such a game-changer. I’d been eyeing it for weeks since we’re expecting our first little one, but wasn’t sure if it was worth the investment. Spoiler alert: it totally was!
The first thing that struck me was how comfy this thing is – like, ridiculously comfy. The high backrest actually supports my entire back (unlike my old rocking chair that left my shoulders hanging), and the armrests are positioned just right. I’m kind of picky about chairs, but this one feels like it was designed for actual humans, you know? The rubberwood legs look pretty elegant too – definitely nicer than I expected for the price point.
I’ve been spending at least an hour each night in this chair, just reading or scrolling through my phone, and my back hasn’t complained once. The seat cushion is super plush but doesn’t sink in too much – it’s filled with this high-density sponge that’s holding up well so far. And can we talk about the teddy fabric? It’s so soft! My cat has already tried to claim it as her own, which I’m fighting her on daily.
The seat is pretty spacious too – about 22 inches wide by 20 inches deep. I’m not a small person and I’ve got plenty of room to shift around or curl up with a book. My husband (who was skeptical at first) now tries to steal it whenever I get up.
Assembly wasn’t bad at all – took me maybe 25 minutes by myself, though I did drop a screw under the couch which added some frustration time. All the parts were there, and the instructions were surprisingly clear. It’s not super heavy either – around 30 pounds – so I’ve already moved it between the nursery and living room a couple times when we’ve had guests over.
The chair feels really solid – apparently it can hold up to 250 pounds. The curved wooden legs have these little protective pads on the bottom, which is great because we have hardwood floors that scratch if you look at them wrong. It’s not a huge chair either (38″H x 26″W x 33″D), so it fits nicely in the corner of our not-so-spacious nursery.
To be fair, I was a bit worried about the teddy fabric being hard to clean (babies and mess go hand in hand, right?), but so far I’ve been able to wipe up small spills with no issues. I’m thinking of getting one of those chair covers just as backup once the baby arrives.
