I’ve been looking for a reliable walking stick for my outdoor adventures, and honestly, the Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO has been a total game-changer for me. I’m not getting any younger, and my knees definitely remind me of that fact during longer hikes!
So this thing is pretty amazing – it’s basically a walking stick that transforms into a seat with just a quick snap. I was kind of skeptical at first (aren’t we all with these combo products?), but it’s actually super handy when you need to take a breather. There’s even this built-in phone holder which is great because I’m always stopping to take nature photos or check my messages when I’m out.
The handle feels really nice in your hand – it’s got this textured grip and a slight tilt that makes it comfortable to hold for hours. And when you sit down? Man, the seat is actually way bigger than I expected – about 14.5 inches wide and 12 inches deep. To be fair, that’s apparently the largest seat among similar products, and I can definitely tell the difference compared to my old camping stool.
What I love most is how lightweight it is. Only 2.2 pounds! But don’t let that fool you – this little beast can hold up to 300 pounds, which is pretty impressive. I’m not a small guy, and it handles my weight without any issues. You can adjust the height too, from about 33.5 to 36.6 inches with five different settings, which is perfect because my wife uses it sometimes and she’s a bit shorter than me.
The whole thing folds down to this compact size (about 13.8 x 7.1 x 3.5 inches) that fits right in my backpack. I didn’t expect that to be so convenient! Just make sure the seat height (around 20 inches) works for you before buying.
One thing that really sold me was the stability. I’ve used it on grass, gravel, even wet pavement after a rain shower, and those rubber feet with the spiral pattern grip really well. It’s got this tripod-style base that keeps it balanced even on uneven ground. Apparently it’s passed some European and Taiwanese standards testing, which makes sense because it feels really solid.
Oh, and if the rubber feet ever wear out, you can buy replacement kits, which is nice for the long run.
Just a heads up though – when you sit on it, you need to sit facing the handle and keep both hands on it between your legs. I learned that lesson the hard way when I nearly tipped over trying to look at something behind me! It’s not your typical chair where you can just lean back and relax, but it’s not meant to be.
For hiking, fishing trips, or those endless outdoor concerts where they never provide enough seating, this has been a lifesaver for my back and feet. Definitely worth every penny.
