Sunnylife Rio Sun Backpack Beach Chair with Reclining Positions, Cooler Pocket, and Adjustable Straps

I finally found the perfect beach companion! I’ve been through so many beach chairs over the years, and honestly, this Sunnylife Rio Sun Backpack Beach Chair is a total game-changer.








So I’ve had this chair for about a month now, and I’m kind of obsessed with it. It’s made with this polyester fabric that feels pretty durable, plus aluminum and oak wood accents that give it this cute beachy vibe. The whole thing weighs about 5.2 pounds, which isn’t too bad at all considering all the features it packs in.
Let me tell you about the reclining situation – it’s amazing! You get five different positions, and you can even lay it completely flat, which was perfect when I dozed off at the beach last weekend (oops!). What I really love though are those wooden armrests – they’re way classier than my old plastic beach chair and actually comfortable to rest my arms on while reading.
The backpack feature is such a lifesaver. My hands are always full with coolers, bags, and trying to control my excitable dog on beach days, so being able to just strap this to my back is seriously convenient. The padded straps are way more comfortable than I expected too – not like those cheap backpacks that dig into your shoulders.
Oh! And the cooler pocket! I wasn’t even looking for a chair with a cooler, but now I can’t imagine going back. Kept my White Claws perfectly chilled for hours last Saturday, which was pretty impressive considering it was like 85 degrees out. The drink holders on each side are surprisingly sturdy too – I’ve had so many beach chairs where those things break after like two uses.
Size-wise, it’s about 21 inches wide and 30 inches high when set up, so it fits nicely in the trunk of my compact car alongside all my other beach gear. The weight capacity is 264.5 pounds, which is pretty standard but feels really stable. I’m not anywhere near that limit, but my boyfriend who’s a bit taller tried it and said it was comfortable for him too.
That multicolored pinstripe pattern? Cute as heck. I’ve gotten at least three compliments on it already, and it’s actually easier to spot from the water when I’m coming back from a swim, unlike my old plain blue chair that blended in with everyone else’s.
To be fair, it’s not the cheapest beach chair out there, but considering I’ve gone through two cheaper ones in the past year alone, I think this one’s built to last. Plus, with that insulated pocket and the backpack feature, it’s basically two products in one.
Just remember to clean it off after beach days – I just wipe mine down with a damp cloth, especially if it’s been in saltwater. I learned that lesson the hard way with my previous chair!
