Sunnydaze Illias Plastic Patio Arm Chairs, Set of 2, Stackable, Gray

I finally pulled the trigger on these Sunnydaze Illias chairs after my old plastic patio set basically disintegrated last summer. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much – they’re plastic chairs after all – but I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty impressed!
These chairs are actually super comfortable. Like, way more than I thought they’d be. They’re pretty roomy at about 22.75″ wide and have this ergonomic design that’s kind of perfect for lounging around. I’m not a small person (let’s just leave it at that, lol) and these feel really solid with their 330-pound weight capacity. The seat is a decent size too – about 16.25″ wide by 18″ deep, which gives you plenty of space to shift around and get comfy.
The armrests are positioned just right – not too high, not too low. They sit about 9 inches above the seat, which feels natural when you’re sitting back. My old chairs had these awkwardly high armrests that made me feel like a kid at the adults’ table!
As far as durability goes, these seem pretty legit. They’re made entirely of polypropylene, which isn’t as fancy as teak or whatever, but it’s honestly perfect for outdoor furniture. We’ve had some crazy weather lately and these haven’t faded at all. The gray color is nice too – kind of neutral but not boring, if that makes sense? It matches our existing stuff without trying too hard.
One thing I really appreciate is how easy they are to clean. My kids spilled juice all over one yesterday, and I just hosed it down. Good as new! No scrubbing required, which is a huge win in my book.
The fact that they stack is super convenient. Our storage shed isn’t exactly spacious, so being able to stack these when winter comes will be a game-changer. They’re pretty lightweight too – around 10.4 pounds each – so I can move them around the yard without throwing my back out.
I set them up with a small bistro table I already had, and they make for a perfect little coffee spot in the morning. I’ve been using them for everything from casual dinners outside to just sitting and reading. To be fair, I probably wouldn’t want to sit in them for like 5 hours straight, but for normal use, they’re totally comfortable.
The 1-year warranty is nice to have, though I honestly don’t think I’ll need it. These seem pretty well-made for the price point. All in all, these chairs are a solid upgrade from my last set, which started cracking after just one season. If you need some reliable outdoor seating that won’t break the bank or your back when storing them, these are definitely worth checking out.
