Steelcase OEM Hard Floor Casters (Set of 5) for Amia, Leap, Think, Gesture, Cobi, Qivi Chairs

Just got these Steelcase Hard Floor Casters for my Leap chair and honestly, they’re pretty much exactly what I needed. They come in a pack of 5 (one for each wheel on my chair) and they’re the real deal – genuine Steelcase parts, not some knockoff brand.
I was kinda worried about finding the right fit, but these work with a bunch of their chairs – Amia, Gesture, QiVi, Leap (which is what I have), Think, Protege, Cachet, and those fancy Coalesse ones too. They’re specifically the soft casters meant for hard floors, which is perfect since I’ve got laminate throughout my home office.

So I was getting super annoyed with my old casters that came with the chair – they were scratching up my floors something terrible. These new ones have this soft polyurethane coating that makes a huge difference. They roll way smoother and quieter than my old ones, which is a relief because my partner kept complaining about the noise when I’d roll around during Zoom calls!
The build quality is pretty solid too. They’ve got this dual-layer thing going on with a nylon core that feels sturdy and then that polyurethane coating on the outside. Each one supposedly supports up to 300 pounds, which means the whole set can handle like 1500 pounds total? That’s kind of overkill for me, but I guess it’s good to know they won’t break down easily.
Size-wise, they’re about 2.5 inches across with a 7/16-inch stem. Putting them on was super easy – took me maybe 5 minutes tops. You just pull the old ones out and push these new ones in. No tools needed, which was a nice surprise!
I’ve been using them for about a month now in my home office, and to be fair, they’re holding up really well. My floors don’t have any new scratches, and I can actually roll around smoothly instead of getting stuck or making that awful scraping sound. They weren’t exactly cheap, but they’re way less expensive than replacing my floors, so I’d say they’re worth it.
