Set of 2 Orange Swivel Counter Height Bar Stools with Golden Base and Velvet Upholstery for Kitchen or Dining Room

So I finally got these gorgeous orange bar stools from CIMOO for our kitchen island, and honestly, I’m kinda obsessed with them! They’re this vibrant orange velvet that just pops against the golden base – definitely makes a statement in our otherwise pretty neutral kitchen.
The thing I love most about these stools is how adjustable they are. You can change the height from like 23.6″ all the way up to 31.5″ with this little lever under the seat. Super convenient since we sometimes use them at our kitchen island and other times at our higher bar table. And they swivel all the way around too, which is pretty handy when my husband and I are chatting while I’m cooking – no more awkward neck craning!
Comfort-wise, they’re actually better than I expected. The seat is this irregular shape that’s weirdly more comfortable than our old round stools. It’s got this thick cushion (about 1.6″ of sponge) that doesn’t flatten out even when my brother-in-law (who’s not exactly lightweight) sits on them for hours during family gatherings. The backrest is wide enough (16.3″) to actually support your back, and there’s a footrest that makes sitting for longer periods way more comfortable than our previous backless stools.
The velvet upholstery feels really nice – kind of luxurious but not pretentious, if that makes sense? The orange is definitely bold, but the diamond stitching pattern gives it this upscale look that elevates our whole kitchen vibe. To be fair, I was worried the velvet would be high maintenance, but it’s been pretty durable so far.
These things are built solid too. The base is huge (19.7″ diameter) and has this rubber ring on the bottom that keeps them from scratching up our hardwood floors. Each stool can supposedly hold up to 300 lbs, which seems right based on how sturdy they feel. They’re not super lightweight (the pair weighs about 32.6 lbs total), but that’s probably why they don’t tip over easily.
Putting them together wasn’t bad at all – took me maybe 30 minutes for both. All the screws and instructions were included, and everything lined up properly, which hasn’t always been my experience with furniture assembly!
The only slight downside is that they’re a bit bulkier than I initially pictured – the dimensions are 19.7″ x 18.9″ x 44.1″ at max height. But they tuck under our counter nicely when not in use, so it hasn’t been an issue.
Overall, these are probably the nicest bar stools we’ve owned. They’re definitely more comfortable than the wooden ones at my sister’s place, and they look way more expensive than they actually were!
