So I’ve been looking for a new couch for my tiny apartment for AGES, and I finally took the plunge with this SEJOV 4-in-1 convertible sofa bed. Honestly? It’s been kind of a game-changer for my space.
The whole 4-in-1 thing isn’t just marketing – it actually works! You can use it as a regular 3-seat loveseat, flip it into a chaise lounge (my personal favorite for Netflix binges), lay it flat as a bed for guests, or even as an ottoman. Pretty versatile for a small place like mine. The black linen looks way more expensive than it actually was, and it fits with pretty much everything else I have.
The frame feels surprisingly solid – it’s made with some alloy steel and wood feet combo that can hold up to 350 pounds. Not bad at all! The linen fabric is decent quality too, with this high-density sponge filling that makes it comfy but not too soft, if that makes sense? There’s this stitching pattern that looks nice but also helps with airflow, which is great because my last couch would get so stuffy during movie marathons.
One thing I really appreciate is the adjustable backrest – there are 5 different positions, so I can sit up straight when I’m working on my laptop or recline back when I’m just chilling. The armrest comes off too, which I didn’t think I’d care about but turns out to be super handy depending on how you’re using it.
Setting it up was WAY easier than I expected. Like, no tools required, which was a relief because I’m terrible with assembly stuff. Took me maybe 15 minutes tops? The whole thing is pretty compact when folded up – great for moving day, to be fair! When it’s fully extended as a bed, it’s about 71 inches long, which isn’t huge but works fine for most of my friends who’ve crashed here.
Cleaning it isn’t a big deal either – just wipe it down with a damp cloth. I spilled coffee on it last week (classic me) and it came right off.
If you’re in a small apartment or dorm or whatever, this is honestly one of the better furniture investments I’ve made. It’s comfier than my old futon and doesn’t scream “college student” like a lot of convertible sofas do. The customer service seems okay too – I had a question about assembly and they got back to me within a day.
