PORTAL Oversized Folding Rocking Camping Chair with High Back, Hard Armrests, Carry Bag, 400 lbs Capacity, Mesh Back

I’m telling you, this PORTAL rocking chair has been a total game-changer for our camping trips! I’ve gone through like three different camping chairs over the last few years, and honestly, none of them compare to this oversized beauty.
So we picked this up before our last trip to Yosemite, and I was kinda skeptical about the whole “rocking chair for camping” thing. Like, would it actually rock on uneven ground? But yeah, it totally works! The chair is seriously roomy—way bigger than my old Coleman that always felt a bit tight on my hips. And it holds up to 400 lbs, which is pretty impressive considering my brother-in-law (who’s a big guy) borrowed it and had zero issues.
The high back is probably my favorite feature. It’s about 29 inches tall and has this nice padding that actually supports my neck and head, which is something I didn’t realize I was missing with my old chair. And the mesh back? Life-saving during hot weather! We were sitting around the campfire last weekend when it hit like 85 degrees, and I wasn’t getting that gross sweaty back thing happening.
I’m not usually one to geek out about armrests, but the hard ones on this chair are actually really nice for pushing yourself up. My mom (who has some knee issues) borrowed it when she visited, and she mentioned how much easier it was to get in and out of compared to her own camping chair.
Setting it up is super simple—takes maybe 10 seconds once you get the hang of it. The first time was a bit confusing, not gonna lie, but they include this diagram that helps. There’s apparently a video too, but I didn’t need it. When folded up, it’s honestly not that much bigger than a regular camping chair—fits easily in our already-packed car trunk alongside the cooler and tent.
The carrying bag is decent quality too, not like those flimsy ones that rip after the second use. One minor complaint though—at 16 pounds, it’s not the lightest chair to carry for long distances. But to be fair, that weight is what makes it feel so sturdy when you’re sitting in it.
Oh, and the little side pocket and cup holder? Perfect for my phone and beer while watching the sunset. Just basic stuff that makes life easier, you know?
We’ve used it for camping, my son’s soccer games, and even just hanging out in the backyard. I’m actually thinking about getting another one because my husband keeps stealing mine!
