So I finally got my hands on this Pool Central Blue Inflatable Air Sofa, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for our lake trips! I’ve been looking for something versatile that works both in and out of water, and this 94-inch sofa definitely fits the bill.
When it arrived, I was kind of surprised by how compact it was in the packaging. Taking it out to the lake last weekend was super easy since it comes with this drawstring carry bag. It’s pretty lightweight too—I think about 2.5 pounds or so? The best part is definitely not needing an air pump. You just open it up, catch some wind (which was a bit funny-looking at first, not gonna lie), roll it up and buckle it. Took me a couple tries to get it right, but now I’m a pro!
This thing is actually huge when inflated! It’s about 27 inches wide, 94 inches long, and sits about 15 inches high. My husband and I fit on it comfortably, and when our friends joined us, we managed to squeeze four adults total. The package says it holds up to 600 pounds, which seems accurate from our experience.
The material feels pretty good—it’s this 190T polyester that’s held up well so far. Way more durable than my old pool float that tore after just two uses. There’s this handy side pocket where I keep my sunglasses and phone, which is honestly such a thoughtful feature.
To be fair, it took a bit of practice to figure out the inflation technique. The first time I tried, I looked ridiculous running around the beach trying to catch air! My kids couldn’t stop laughing. But once you get the hang of it, it’s not bad at all.
I’ve used it both in our pool and at the lake, and it’s been great. One thing I didn’t expect was how comfortable it would be as regular seating for our backyard movie night. We just brought it onto the lawn, and it was comfier than my old outdoor chairs.
Cleaning it is pretty straightforward—just some mild soap and water does the trick. I’m a bit paranoid about punctures though, so I always check for sticks or sharp objects before setting it down.
