I finally upgraded my outdoor loungers, and honestly, these Pamapic chaise lounges are a total game-changer! After my old plastic chairs kept cracking every summer, I decided to splurge a bit on something that would actually last.
So these came in two boxes – pretty heavy at 56 pounds each, but that actually reassured me about the quality. Assembly wasn’t bad at all – took me maybe 25 minutes per chair with the included tools. My husband was shocked I did it without his help (ha!).
The HDPE material is kind of amazing – it feels way more substantial than regular plastic furniture. We’ve had some crazy rainstorms lately, and I just leave these out without worrying. They don’t absorb water or get that gross mildew feeling like my old fabric loungers did. And the gray color looks pretty classy on our patio, to be fair.
The adjustable positions are super handy. I tend to use the 140° angle for reading my Kindle, and then go full flat (180°) when I’m working on my tan. The armrests are nice and wide – about 4.33 inches – which gives you plenty of space to rest your arms comfortably. And the cup holder? Honestly, I didn’t think I’d care that much about it, but it’s perfect for my iced coffee while I’m out there.
What I love most are those big wheels! My previous loungers were such a pain to move around. These roll so easily that I can chase the sun or shade throughout the day without breaking a sweat. They’re sturdier than they look too – my brother-in-law is a pretty big guy (he’s gotta be close to that 500-pound weight limit), and the chair didn’t even creak when he tried it.
The seats are pretty high off the ground (12 inches), which makes getting in and out way easier than my old low-to-the-ground chairs, especially when my knees are acting up. They’re also really wide and long (almost 79 inches!), so even my 6’4″ cousin can stretch out comfortably.
Cleaning them is a breeze – just hosed them down after a bird decided to use one as a target practice area, and everything came right off. No scrubbing needed.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say they take up a decent amount of space when not in use. But that’s the trade-off for having something substantial that won’t blow away in the wind like our previous loungers.
Overall, not exactly cheap, but definitely worth it for something that seems like it’ll last for years instead of just one season. Way better quality than the similar set I saw at Costco last month!
