Outdoor Wicker Egg Rocking Chair with Beige Cushion for Patio and Living Room

I’ve gotta say, this Outdoor Wicker Egg Rocking Chair has seriously upgraded my patio game! When it arrived, I was actually shocked by how big this thing is – like, it’s genuinely massive. The seat is a whopping 38 inches wide and 24 inches deep, which means I can totally sprawl out or curl up depending on my mood. I’m not exactly petite, so finding outdoor furniture that feels roomy enough is usually a struggle, but this egg chair definitely delivers.
The beige cushion is pretty thick (about 4 inches) and honestly way more comfortable than I expected from outdoor furniture. It’s made with this high-density foam that supports my back really well – definitely better than my old patio chairs that used to leave me with a sore back after like 20 minutes. The fabric feels nice against your skin too, not scratchy at all, and apparently it’s made of Olefin which is supposed to handle the weather. So far so good on that front!
One thing I didn’t realize I’d love so much? The rocking motion! It’s kind of therapeutic, you know? After a long day staring at my computer, gently rocking while scrolling through my phone or reading actually helps my back feel better. I’ve noticed I’m not as stiff when I get up compared to sitting in my regular patio chair. Plus, there’s something weirdly calming about the rocking – I’ve nearly dozed off a couple times, not gonna lie.
For something this substantial, it’s surprisingly durable. We had a crazy storm last week and I totally forgot to bring the cushion in, but everything dried out fine with no damage. The frame is made of alloy steel with some kind of rust-resistant coating, and the wicker part isn’t actual rattan but this PE material that’s holding up well so far. It claims to support up to 350 pounds, which seems about right from how solid it feels.
The assembly wasn’t bad at all. Took me maybe 25 minutes by myself while watching TV. All the tools came in the box, and the instructions were fairly straightforward – definitely easier than that IKEA bookshelf that nearly ended my marriage last year! It’s also not too heavy (around 30 pounds), so I can drag it around my patio depending on where the sun is.
I’ve been using it mostly outside, but when we had family visiting, I brought it into the living room for extra seating, and it actually looked pretty nice in there too. The brown wicker and beige cushion go with pretty much everything. My sister-in-law kept trying to steal it during her visit, which I take as a good sign!
For maintenance, I just wipe it down occasionally with a damp cloth and some mild soap. The cushion cover comes off and can go in the washing machine, which is super convenient after my kid spilled juice all over it. During winter or really bad weather, I’ll probably move it to the garage just to be safe.
