So I finally caved and bought this cushion for my patio chair that was honestly killing my back. I gotta say, it’s pretty impressive for what you’re paying! The material is this super soft polyester that feels really nice against your skin – definitely not that scratchy outdoor fabric you sometimes get with patio stuff. Inside, it’s packed with this PP cotton and pearl cotton fiber mix that’s actually way more supportive than I expected. I’ve been sitting on it for hours during my weekend coffee sessions and it hasn’t gone flat or anything.
I went with the 22 x 47 x 4 inch size for my standard patio chair, but they offer a bigger one too if you’ve got those larger lounge chairs. Kind of wish the cover was removable for washing, but honestly, I’ve just spot-cleaned mine a couple times and it’s holding up fine. No big deal.
The UV-resistance is no joke – we’ve had some crazy hot days lately and the cushion still looks brand new. The dark gray color hasn’t faded at all, which is pretty impressive considering my last cushions looked washed out after just one season. The thing I probably love most are those six straps that keep it from sliding around. Nothing worse than having to readjust your cushion every five minutes, right? These straps are super easy to attach, and they actually work!
I’ve been using mine mainly on my patio chair, but my wife borrowed it for her home office chair one day and now we’re fighting over it! To be fair, it works great indoors too – we’ve used it on kitchen chairs, the bay window seat, and I even threw it on the floor once when we had extra guests over. The dark gray goes with practically everything.
This cushion is honestly way more supportive than it looks – it’s got this medium-firm feel that’s just right for me. Not too squishy where you sink in, but definitely not hard either. I’m a bigger guy (around 220 pounds) and it handles my weight without compressing into nothingness like my old cushions did.
When it arrived, it was vacuum-packed pretty tight, so don’t freak out if it looks flat at first! I just laid mine out in the sun for an afternoon and whacked it a few times (weirdly satisfying, not gonna lie), and it puffed right up. Took maybe a day or two to get to full thickness.
One tiny complaint – the measurements were off by about half an inch on mine, but that’s not really a deal-breaker. The color is exactly what I expected from the pictures, which doesn’t always happen with online shopping!
