I’ve been using the Attaliarec Nursery Rocking Chair for about three months now, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for those late-night feeding sessions with my little one.
When I first got this light gray glider with the ottoman, I was pretty skeptical – I mean, can a chair really make that much difference? Turns out, yeah, it totally can! The lumbar pillow that comes with it is actually super helpful for my lower back, which was kind of killing me during those marathon nursing sessions. And those side pockets? Genius! I keep pacifiers, my phone, and sometimes even snacks in there because, let’s face it, once you’re settled with a sleeping baby, you’re not going anywhere.
The gliding motion is really smooth and quiet, which is pretty important when you’re trying to get a fussy baby to sleep. I didn’t expect the motion to be this gentle – my old rocking chair used to creak so much it would wake the baby up!
I’m actually pretty impressed with how comfortable this thing is. The padding is thick and feels way cushier than my regular living room furniture (it’s honestly comfier than my couch, which is saying something). The material they used – this “leathaire” stuff – feels pretty nice to the touch and, so far, has been super easy to clean. My little one spit up on it last week, and it wiped right off with no stain, which was a relief.
Putting it together wasn’t too bad either. My husband and I managed to assemble it in about 25 minutes, though we did have a minor freak-out when we couldn’t find some of the screws at first. Turned out they were hidden in this zippered compartment in the backrest – pretty smart for shipping, I guess, but we totally missed that in the instructions initially.
Size-wise, it’s been perfect for our not-so-spacious nursery. It measures about 25.6 x 31.5 x 31.9 inches, and the ottoman is around 19.7 x 15.7 x 16.5 inches. Not tiny, but definitely not bulky like some of those oversized recliners I was looking at. The seat height is around 18.5 inches, which feels just right for me (I’m 5’6″), and it’s deep enough to be comfy but not so deep that I feel swallowed by it.
I was a bit worried about durability since my husband is a bigger guy, but this chair supports up to 350 pounds apparently, and it feels pretty solid. The frame seems to be well-constructed, and after months of daily (and nightly) use, it’s holding up great with no wobbles or creaks.
To be fair, the light gray color was a bit of a gamble with a baby in the house, but it actually works with pretty much everything in our nursery and hasn’t shown any stains yet.
Overall, I’d say this chair has been worth every penny. Between nighttime feedings, afternoon story times, and the occasional nap (for me, not just the baby!), I’ve spent countless hours in this chair and haven’t regretted the purchase for a second.
