I finally found the perfect beach companion! After years of struggling with flimsy chairs that sink in the sand and offer zero shade, I decided to give the Nice C Beach Chair with Umbrella a try, and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for my beach days.
The high back design is pretty much exactly what my aching back needed. It sits about 10 inches off the ground which is actually perfect—low enough to feel relaxed but not so low that you feel like you’re practically lying on the sand. The backrest is around 29 inches high which gives awesome support for my neck and shoulders. I’ve spent like 4 hours straight in this thing without that uncomfortable pinching feeling I used to get with my old chair.
What I didn’t expect was how much I’d love the built-in cooler bag! It’s not huge or anything—about 10×8×6 inches—but it’s perfect for keeping a few drinks and some snacks cold while you’re baking in the sun. And not having to get up every time I want something cold? Total win. The cup holder has been clutch too. It fits my oversized tumbler which is kind of a miracle since most beach chairs have those tiny cup holders that barely fit a soda can.
The umbrella might be my favorite part though. It’s got this cool tilt feature so you can adjust it as the sun moves—way better than constantly repositioning your entire chair throughout the day. The umbrella is about 50 inches in diameter which provides decent coverage, and to be fair, it’s actually pretty sturdy in light wind (though I wouldn’t test it in anything too crazy).
I’m sort of amazed at how durable this thing feels compared to my previous $20 beach chair that literally broke after three uses. The frame supports up to 300 pounds and feels really stable on uneven sand. The fabric is this breathable polyester material that dries really quickly if it gets wet, which happens pretty much every beach trip for me!
When it’s time to pack up, the chair folds down to about 36×7×7 inches, which isn’t the smallest thing in the world but still fits easily in my trunk alongside all the other beach gear. It weighs around 10 pounds—not featherlight but definitely manageable with the carry bag. The shoulder strap makes it pretty easy to haul from the parking lot to the beach, even with my other bags.
For the price point, I think this chair is a solid investment if you’re someone who spends a lot of time at the beach or camping. It’s definitely comfier than my living room recliner for outdoor lounging! The blue color with those tropical accents looks pretty sharp too—I’ve had a couple people at the beach ask me where I got it.
