Melaluxe Universal Stretch Office Chair Cover, Large, Black

So I finally decided to grab the Melaluxe Universal Stretch Office Chair Cover in large black, and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for my home office setup!
When it arrived, I just got the chair cover itself (obviously the actual chair isn’t included). It’s made from this really nice spandex fabric that feels pretty premium – apparently it’s 92% polyester and 8% elastane, which explains why it feels so smooth. The fabric is kind of impressive, actually – no wrinkles and it keeps its shape really well. The elastic bands and zipper seem pretty sturdy too, which I wasn’t expecting at this price point.
Size-wise, it fits my large office chair perfectly. I was a bit worried about that, to be fair, since my chair is on the bulkier side. For reference, this cover works for chairs with back heights between 27.6-30.7 inches and widths of 19.7-23.6 inches. The seat part fits lengths of 17.7-21.7 inches and widths of 19.7-23.6 inches. Definitely measure your chair before buying though! I almost ordered the wrong size initially.
What I really love about this thing is how it’s basically rescued my embarrassingly worn-out chair. My cat had done a number on the original upholstery (don’t get me started!), and this cover hides all those scratches and worn spots. It looks way more professional now, which matters since I’m doing so many video calls these days.
Cleaning it is super easy too. I’ve washed it twice already – just toss it in the machine on gentle with cold water. I let mine air dry and it was good to go in about a day. The black color hasn’t faded at all, which is pretty good considering my washing machine tends to be rough on dark fabrics.
The whole thing is surprisingly lightweight – maybe about 300 grams? Makes it easy to take on and off. The non-slip backing is a nice touch too. My previous chair cover would bunch up every time I stood up, which drove me crazy. This one stays put pretty well.
I’ve been using it for about a month now, and it’s holding up better than that cheaper cover I tried from Target last year. It’s great for my home office, but I could see this working really well in a conference room or shared workspace too.
The fabric breathes pretty well – I tend to run hot, and my old chair would make my back sweaty during long work sessions, but that’s not as much of an issue now.
All in all, it’s not the most exciting purchase I’ve ever made, but it’s probably one of the most practical ones for my home office. It’s comfier than I expected and makes my sad old chair look brand new again!
