KCC 29″ Bar Stools, Set of 2, Upholstered, Gray, Nail Head Trim

So I finally got around to replacing those wobbly old bar stools we’ve had forever, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with these KCC 29″ ones! Just a heads-up though – definitely measure your counter height before you buy. These are 29 inches from seat to floor, which works perfectly with bar counters or tables around 41-43 inches tall. I learned that lesson the hard way with my last set!
The gray fabric with those bronze nail head details looks way more expensive than what I actually paid. They’ve got this kind of timeless look that fits right in with our kitchen island, but would honestly work pretty much anywhere – I could totally see these in a cute coffee shop too. The high backrest is a game-changer compared to my old backless stools. My back isn’t killing me anymore when I’m sitting there scrolling through my phone with morning coffee!
Construction-wise, these are pretty solid. The wood frame feels sturdy, not like those flimsy things you sometimes get online, you know? The legs have this wider base which keeps them super stable – even on our slightly uneven kitchen floor (thanks, 1990s construction). They’re rated for 300 pounds each, which is more than enough for pretty much anyone. The seat cushioning is actually really comfortable too – kind of firm but in a good way that I don’t think will flatten out after a few months of use.
For the specs nerds out there (like my husband, lol), they’re about 17″ wide, 19.7″ deep, and 43.3″ tall overall. The seat itself is pretty generous at almost 17″ wide by 17.7″ deep, and the backrest is a good size too. Each stool weighs around 18 pounds – not too heavy to move around, but substantial enough to feel quality.
Putting them together wasn’t bad at all. You get everything you need in the box, and it took me maybe 15-20 minutes per stool while watching Netflix. The instructions were clear enough, which is rare these days! The package arrived in good shape too – everything was wrapped up nicely to prevent damage.
We’ve been using them for a few weeks now for everything from quick breakfasts to when friends come over for drinks. They clean up pretty easily too – just a damp cloth with a bit of mild soap takes care of any spills (which is inevitable at our house, to be fair).
