I finally caved and treated myself to this Furniliving vanity chair in khaki last month, and honestly, it’s been pretty amazing so far! The velvet upholstery feels way softer than I expected – like, genuinely luxurious against your skin, not that fake-feeling velvet you sometimes get with cheaper furniture. I’ve actually been sitting in it for hours while doing my makeup or just scrolling on my laptop, and it’s held up really well – no weird dents or sagging like my old vanity stool that basically collapsed after a few weeks.
What sold me initially was the round backrest. I was kind of on the fence about spending a bit more for a chair with a back rather than just a stool, but I’m so glad I did. When you’re sitting there doing your makeup or whatever for 20+ minutes, having that support makes a huge difference! The cushioning is pretty substantial too – much thicker than it looked in the pictures, to be fair.
The chair isn’t huge, which works perfectly for my small apartment bedroom. It’s about 18.5″ wide and 31″ high, so it tucks under my vanity when I’m not using it. I was actually shocked at how easy it was to put together – took me maybe 15 minutes tops, and I’m definitely not handy. The instructions were surprisingly clear for once!
Those gold legs are probably my favorite part though. They look way more expensive than they are, and they don’t wobble at all like I worried they might. I’m not exactly tiny (getting close to the 250 lb weight limit), but this thing feels totally stable. The little footpads on the bottom are a nice touch too – no scratches on my hardwood floors.
I went with the khaki color because it matches my neutral bedroom vibe, but I was tempted by the pink one too. The khaki is this really nice, subtle tone that kind of blends with everything. It’s not just a vanity chair for me either – I’ve pulled it into the living room when I’ve had friends over and needed extra seating.
One thing I appreciate that I wasn’t even looking for – apparently the wood frame is FSC-certified, which makes me feel a little better about my purchase. It weighs like 12 pounds, so it’s light enough to move around easily but still feels substantial.
If you’re on the fence, I’d say it’s worth it. It’s comfier than my actual desk chair somehow, and it makes my daily routine feel a little more luxurious. Kind of like having a mini glam station even in my tiny apartment!
