I recently picked up this FRCOLOR wheelchair potty lid, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for our family situation. My mom’s been having mobility issues lately, and we needed something practical without spending a fortune on fancy medical equipment.
The potty lid is made of this pretty durable soft plastic that doesn’t feel cheap at all. It’s about 11.4 × 11.4 × 5.5 inches, which is kind of perfect – not too bulky but definitely sturdy enough. I was actually surprised how lightweight it is (something like 1.5 pounds), which makes it super easy to move around the house or take with us when we visit my sister.
We got a blue one, though apparently they ship in random colors. Not a big deal for us, but just a heads-up if you’re picky about that sort of thing. The weight capacity is around 250 pounds, which is more than enough for my mom, and probably works for most adults.
What I really appreciate is how versatile this thing is. We’ve used it at home, but I’m thinking about bringing it on our family camping trip next month – beats those disgusting campground bathrooms! The opening is about 8 inches across, which to be fair, is comfortable enough for most people. My pregnant sister tried it when she was visiting and said it was actually not bad at all compared to the hospital ones she’s had to use.
Cleaning it is straightforward – just soap and water does the trick. Way better than those disposable options that you have to keep buying over and over. And it doesn’t hold smells, which was definitely one of my concerns!
I’ve dropped it a couple times (I’m kinda clumsy) and it hasn’t cracked or anything, so the whole “drop-resistant” claim seems legit. It’s been about two months of regular use, and it’s holding up just fine.
For around the same price as dinner for two, it’s been totally worth it. It’s not exactly something you get excited about buying, but when you need it, you really need it. And this one does the job without any fuss.
