So, I’ve been on the hunt for a new office chair for months now (my old one was literally falling apart), and I finally bit the bullet and got this FLEXISPOT mesh chair in gray. Honestly? It’s probably the best work-from-home purchase I’ve made all year.
I spend way too many hours at my desk these days, and my lower back was really starting to complain about it. This chair’s high back design is pretty awesome – it has this built-in lumbar support that actually fits right where my spine curves. The first day I used it, I could definitely feel the difference compared to my old chair. My shoulders weren’t as tight by the end of the day, which was kind of surprising.
The seat cushion is actually way comfier than it looks in the pictures. It’s got this high-density mesh that doesn’t squish down to nothing like my old chair did. And can we talk about the breathability? I tend to run hot (embarrassingly so), and my previous chair would have me sweating after a few hours. This mesh design keeps things much cooler – I haven’t had that “unstick yourself from your chair” moment once since I got it.
I’ve set it up in my home office, but honestly, it wouldn’t look out of place in a fancy corporate setting either. The gray color goes with pretty much everything, which is nice because my “office” is basically a corner of my living room, lol.
What’s really sold me are all the adjustable features. The height adjustment works super smoothly – I’ve got it set between 18-22 inches which is perfect for my desk. The headrest is probably my favorite part though – you can move it up, down, and even adjust the angle. I didn’t think I’d care about that feature, but turns out it’s pretty nice for when I’m leaning back during conference calls.
Oh, and the armrests adjust too! They go up and down plus you can angle them, which is great because I’m constantly shifting positions throughout the day. There’s also this little hanger built into the headrest which I didn’t even notice at first, but it’s perfect for hanging my jacket. Not a game-changer but a nice little bonus.
The tilting feature is better than I expected. You can lock it in different positions from 90° (straight up) to 130° (pretty reclined). I usually keep it upright when I’m working and tilt back a bit when I’m watching videos or on calls. It handles my weight just fine (not that I’m anywhere near the 300 lb capacity, but still).
Assembly wasn’t too bad – took me maybe 30 minutes with the included tools. I’m not particularly handy, so that’s saying something. The whole thing only weighs about 27 pounds, so it’s easy to move around if you need to reconfigure your space.
The wheels roll really smoothly on my hardwood floors and even on the area rug. My old chair used to get stuck all the time, which was super annoying.
For the specs people: the seat is about 20 inches wide and 19 inches deep, backrest is 24 inches high. Everything’s made of this breathable mesh material with a metal frame underneath. It all feels pretty sturdy so far – definitely not one of those chairs that starts wobbling after a month.
If you’re working from home a lot or gaming for long sessions, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a look. My back is thanking me, and that’s honestly worth every penny.
