Okay, so I got this bottle of Faygo Cotton Candy Soda the other day, and honestly, I’m kind of obsessed with it! I mean, I’m not usually big on super sweet drinks, but there’s something about this one that totally takes me back to those summer carnivals as a kid.
So it’s this 2L bottle of bright blue soda from Faygo – you know, that Detroit company that’s been making pop since like 1907 (they call it “The One True Pop” which is pretty cute).

I grabbed just the single bottle to try it out before committing to a whole case or anything. The packaging is pretty standard – just your typical 2-liter plastic bottle, but that cotton candy blue color definitely stands out in my fridge!

The taste is… well, it’s exactly what you’d expect – super sweet and somehow they’ve actually managed to capture that fluffy cotton candy flavor? It’s weird but in a good way! It’s got that carnival sweetness but with fizz, which is a combo I didn’t know I needed in my life.
One thing I really appreciate is that it’s caffeine-free. I’ve been trying to cut back on caffeine after like 3pm (my sleep has been terrible lately), so I can actually enjoy this with dinner or whatever without worrying about being up all night.
The bottle is pretty big – fits in my fridge door just fine though – and lasts me a good few days. I’ve mostly been drinking it straight, but last weekend I poured some over vanilla ice cream and oh my god, it was to die for! Way better than the root beer float I usually make.
Size-wise, it’s perfect for having people over. My niece and nephew were absolutely thrilled when they saw the color, though my sister gave me the side-eye for loading them up with sugar, lol.
It’s definitely not an everyday drink for me – it’s pretty high in sugar, like 43g per serving or something crazy – but as a once-in-a-while treat? Totally worth it. And to be fair, it’s actually less sweet than some of those fancy coffee drinks I used to get, so I don’t feel too guilty!
If you’re into trying different sodas or just want something fun and nostalgic, this Detroit-made cotton candy concoction is pretty darn good. Just make sure to keep it refrigerated after opening or it loses the fizz pretty quick!
