I finally got my hands on this Esright sleeper chair, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with what I found. I’ve been looking for something versatile for my apartment since space is kind of at a premium, and this 3-in-1 chair has been a game-changer.
The whole convertible thing actually works! You can use it as a regular armchair, but then it transforms into a decent bed or a comfy lounge chair depending on what you need. When my sister came to visit last month, I was able to turn it into a bed in like 2 minutes, and she said it was way better than the air mattress I usually offer guests.
The adjustable backrest is pretty cool – there are 3 different positions you can set it to. I usually keep mine in the middle setting for watching TV, but when I’m reading, I put it all the way up. The strap system they use to extend the leg part is fairly simple, and those wheels make it super easy to pull out. Oh, and there’s this side pocket that I didn’t think I’d use much, but it’s actually perfect for stashing my remote and phone. No more losing them in the couch cushions!
Build quality seems solid – it’s got this steel frame that feels sturdy, and even though I’m not anywhere near the 400-pound weight limit, it’s nice to know it can handle heavier folks too. The linen fabric feels good and doesn’t make me sweat like my old faux leather couch did. The memory foam is the real deal too – not as thick as my mattress obviously, but definitely comfortable enough for sitting or even napping.
Size-wise, it’s bigger than I expected at 38 inches wide, and when it’s fully extended as a bed, it stretches out to 75.6 inches. To be fair, it’s still compact enough for my small living room though. The black color matches pretty much everything, and the overall look is kind of minimalist which I like.
It came with two pillows that are actually useful – I use one for lumbar support when I’m working on my laptop. The removable cover is a lifesaver because my cat already tried to claim it as her territory. Assembly wasn’t bad at all – took me maybe 45 minutes by myself. It’s heavy though at 88 pounds, so I’d definitely recommend having someone help you move it once it’s assembled.
For what I paid, this thing is a solid investment. If you’re tight on space but still want to be able to accommodate overnight guests without sacrificing style, this Esright chair is honestly not a bad option at all.
