Honestly, I think I’ve found my dream chair! After months of dealing with back pain from my cheap office chair (we’ve all been there, right?), I finally splurged on this Belandi massage chair, and wow, what a difference.
The massage function is pretty amazing – there are five different vibration modes that you control with this little remote, and it targets six spots on your back and seat. I usually set it on low intensity for about 30 minutes while I’m working, but when my back is really killing me after a long day, I crank it up to high with the heat on. It’s kind of incredible how much it helps me stay focused instead of constantly shifting around trying to get comfortable.
I’m honestly obsessed with how far this thing reclines! You can go from regular upright position all the way back to 145° which is basically napping territory (and yes, I’ve definitely dozed off a couple times during lunch breaks). The height adjustment is super helpful too – my desk is a bit taller than standard, and I can get this anywhere from 19 to 23 inches high, so my legs aren’t all scrunched up anymore. The footrest is a game-changer for when I’m leaning back watching videos or taking a quick breather between tasks.
The look and feel of this chair is definitely a step up from my old one. The leather (well, PU leather) has this diamond pattern that looks way more expensive than it is, and it’s so much easier to clean than my old fabric chair. The cushioning is pretty thick – I used to get that numb-butt feeling after a couple hours, but that hasn’t happened once with this chair. The back support is actually designed for your spine, which sounds obvious but my old chair was basically just a flat board with some padding.
One thing I was worried about was the wheels – my apartment has hardwood floors, and I didn’t want to scratch them up. But these roll super smoothly and quietly, which is nice when I’m on Zoom calls and don’t want that annoying squeaking sound. The whole base feels really stable too, not wobbly at all like my previous chair. Apparently it holds up to 330 pounds, which is way more than I need, but it’s nice to know it’s sturdy.
Putting it together wasn’t bad at all. I’m terrible with assembly stuff normally, but the instructions were clear enough that I had it done in about 20 minutes. And they include a warranty for almost a year, which gave me some peace of mind since this wasn’t exactly a cheap purchase.
As for specs, the seat is about 21 inches wide and 20 inches deep, which gives plenty of room to shift around. The backrest is 29 inches tall, so it supports my whole back (I’m 5’9″). The whole thing weighs around 40 pounds – not light, but that’s probably why it feels so solid.
If you work from home like I do, or spend long hours at a desk, this chair is totally worth considering. It’s been great for my productivity since I’m not constantly getting up to stretch out my back pain. And after a stressful meeting, cranking up that massage function feels like a mini spa break without leaving my desk. Much better than my partner’s gaming chair that cost about the same!
