I finally took the plunge and got myself this blue gaming chair after my old office chair started killing my back during those long gaming weekends. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but I’ve gotta say – this thing is pretty fantastic!
The seat is super wide (about 21″ x 20″) which is perfect for me since I tend to shift around a lot when I’m playing. The padding is thick but not too soft, if that makes sense? It’s got this high-density foam that kind of holds its shape but still feels cushy. I went with the blue version because it matches my setup, but my buddy got the black one and it looks just as good. The leather (or PU leather I guess) feels decent quality and doesn’t make me sweat like my old chair did.
The adjustability is where this chair really shines though. I’m tall-ish, so being able to raise the seat from 17″ to 20″ is a game-changer. And the reclining feature? Oh man, I didn’t realize how much I needed that in my life! It goes back to like 155° which is perfect for when I’m taking a break between matches. The armrests adjust too, which is nice because I’ve always found fixed armrests to be either too high or too low.
What surprised me the most was actually the lumbar support. I’ve always kind of thought those pillows were gimmicky, but this one hits my lower back in just the right spot. Same with the neck pillow – it’s not in the way like I expected. The footrest is a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the chair, to be fair, but it does the job when I’m watching YouTube or something.
The build quality seems pretty solid overall. It’s definitely sturdier than it looks in the pictures. Assembly wasn’t too bad either – took me maybe 25 minutes while half-watching Netflix. The instructions were clear enough, and they included all the tools, which was nice since I can never find my Allen wrenches.
Weight capacity is supposedly 330 lbs, which is way more than I need, but the chair definitely feels stable. Those wheels roll super smoothly on my hardwood floor – actually almost too smoothly sometimes, lol. I’ve accidentally rolled into my desk a few times.
Is it perfect? Not quite. The armrests could be a bit softer, and sometimes there’s a slight squeaking when I recline. But for the price? It’s honestly better than the $400 chair my coworker has at his place.
If you’re spending hours gaming or working from home like I am, your back will thank you for this upgrade. It’s kind of changed my whole setup comfort level. Plus, it just looks cool, which doesn’t hurt!
