I’ve been using this DXRacer chair for about three months now, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with what I got for my money. The PVC leather is actually way more breathable than I thought it would be – I was kind of worried I’d be sweating after long gaming sessions, but that hasn’t been an issue at all. The stitching looks really solid too, which is reassuring since my last chair started coming apart at the seams after just a year.
One thing I really appreciate is how far back this thing reclines. You can go from sitting up straight at 90° all the way back to 135°, which is perfect when I need to switch between intense gaming and just chilling out watching YouTube. I’ve even caught myself dozing off a couple times when I’ve reclined it all the way back after a late night – not gonna lie, it’s comfier than my couch for quick naps!
The armrests are probably my favorite feature, to be fair. These 4D adjustable ones are a game-changer compared to my old chair that only went up and down. I can literally position them exactly where my arms need support whether I’m typing, using my controller, or just relaxing. The padding is pretty cushy too, which makes a huge difference during those marathon Elden Ring sessions.
The height adjustment and tilt mechanism work really smoothly. I was surprised at how stable it feels – definitely doesn’t have that cheap wobble I’ve experienced with other gaming chairs. I’m nowhere near the 250-pound weight limit, but it’s nice knowing there’s some breathing room there.
Those PU casters are actually better than I expected. My apartment has a mix of hardwood and some area rugs, and the chair rolls pretty effortlessly across both without making annoying squeaky noises. My girlfriend appreciates that when I’m moving around during late-night gaming sessions while she’s trying to sleep!
The ergonomics are solid, but I’ll admit it took some getting used to. The lumbar cushion felt a bit firm at first, but after a week or so, my lower back actually feels better than it has in ages. I’m not sure I totally need the headrest – sometimes I take it off depending on what I’m doing, but it’s nice to have the option.
For the specs nerds out there (like me, lol), it’s about 54 pounds with dimensions around 27.5″ wide by 50-53″ tall depending on your height adjustment. The seat itself is 21″ wide which gives me plenty of room, even when I’m sitting cross-legged sometimes. It holds up to 250 pounds, which is plenty for most people.
I mainly use this for gaming (obviously) and WFH stuff, and it transitions between those roles pretty seamlessly. My setup is mostly black and red, so the black color scheme fits in perfectly. It definitely looks more premium than it costs.
