I’ve tried these Oopsababy Disposable High Chair Covers, and honestly, they’re a total game-changer for parents who eat out with little ones! The material is actually pretty sturdy – they’re made with this polypropylene cotton that feels kind of soft but tough enough that my toddler couldn’t rip through it (and trust me, she tries to destroy everything).
What I really love is that waterproof backing. Last week my daughter spilled her entire sippy cup of juice, and not a single drop made it through to that questionable restaurant high chair. It’s so gross thinking about how many other kids have drooled and spilled stuff on those things, right?
The leg holes fit my daughter pretty well – way better than those flimsy paper covers I tried before that kept sliding around. These actually stay put! I keep a couple in my diaper bag, one in the car console, and even stashed one in my husband’s backpack because, to be fair, he always forgets to grab the diaper bag when it’s his turn to take our daughter out.
They’re about 50 by 30 inches, which seems to fit most high chairs we’ve encountered. I even used one on a shopping cart at Target the other day, and it worked just fine. Honestly, I used to bring our fabric cover everywhere, but washing that thing after every outing was such a pain. With these, I just toss them when we’re done – kind of wasteful I guess, but my sanity is worth it!
The cute designs are a nice touch too. My daughter gets excited when she sees the familiar characters – makes sitting in strange high chairs a bit less scary for her.

Oh, and they’re super light – only about 2 ounces each. I barely notice them in my already overstuffed diaper bag. The 10-pack lasts us about a month of outings, which isn’t bad at all. The other day my mom friend was totally impressed when I pulled one out at lunch – she’d been using napkins to wipe down high chairs (which doesn’t really do much, if we’re being honest).
These are definitely pricier than just wiping down the chair yourself, but for me, the peace of mind is totally worth it. I’m not even a germaphobe or anything, but after my kid got that stomach bug last winter… yeah, not taking any chances!
