So I’ve been on the hunt for a good potty training solution for my little one, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with what I found! The Disney Minnie Mouse Potty Training Toilet in pink has been a total game-changer in our house.
Let me tell you, potty training was kind of stressing me out until we got this. It’s this cute 2-in-1 system that’s been super helpful because it grows with your kid, you know? My daughter absolutely loves the Minnie Mouse theme – like, seriously obsessed with it.
The best part? It’s got these fun little sounds when you press the “flush” button – there’s this flushing noise and then actual applause! I didn’t expect that to make such a difference, but my daughter gets so excited every time she uses it. It’s honestly way more motivating than I thought it would be.
Cleanup isn’t bad at all, which is a huge plus for me. There’s this removable inner pot with rounded sides that’s pretty easy to rinse out. And thank goodness for that splash guard! If you’ve ever potty trained a toddler, you know exactly what I’m talking about, haha.
Size-wise, it’s just about 6 inches off the ground, which is perfect for my daughter to climb on and off by herself. She’s all about being “independent” these days, so that’s been great. The whole thing is lightweight too – only about 3.3 pounds – so we’ve even brought it to grandma’s house a few times.
The transition feature is what sold me initially. We started with the standalone potty, but now we’re using the detachable seat on our regular toilet sometimes. It’s definitely less intimidating for her than just plopping her on the big toilet, and it feels secure when it’s attached.
To be fair, it’s not perfect – sometimes the sticker with Minnie Mouse that goes on the tank starts to peel a bit, but my daughter doesn’t seem to mind. It’s comfier than some other plastic potties we tried at my friend’s house, which is a plus.
For anyone curious about specifics, it’s made by The First Years, BPA-free (which I was specifically looking for), and recommended for kiddos 18 months and up. My daughter is just about 2 and it’s been perfect for her size.
