I finally pulled the trigger on this DECMICO 3-piece wicker set for my tiny balcony, and honestly? It’s been a total game-changer for my outdoor space.
So I’ve been searching forever for something compact but still comfy, and this set with the two rocking chairs and that little side table is kind of perfect for creating a cozy little spot. The orange cushions are what sold me initially – they’re super vibrant in person and brighten up my otherwise boring concrete balcony. The best part? I spilled my coffee all over one cushion last weekend (classic me), and it wiped right off! No staining at all, which is pretty impressive.
The whole wicker/rattan look is way nicer than my old plastic chairs, and it feels pretty sturdy too. I was a bit worried about ordering furniture online (who isn’t?), but the steel frame underneath means these chairs don’t wobble or feel cheap at all. I’m not a small person, and they hold my weight just fine – supposedly up to 300 pounds per chair, which is not bad at all.
I’ve tried a bunch of outdoor chairs before and they usually kill my back after like 20 minutes, but the cushioning on these is actually thick enough to sit in for hours. Last Saturday I literally spent the whole afternoon out there reading and rocking, and my back felt fine. The gentle rocking motion is super relaxing – to be fair, I sometimes catch myself dozing off, which wasn’t exactly the plan!
The little table is just the right size for my space – 18 inches across and tall enough to reach easily from the chairs. It’s perfect for my morning coffee setup or for a couple of drinks when my sister comes over. Nothing fancy, but functional.
One thing I wasn’t looking forward to was assembly, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. Everything came with clear instructions, and I put it together myself in about an hour.
Maintenance has been pretty easy so far. We had a rainstorm last week, and I just pulled the cushions inside (the covers zip off if they need a wash). The wicker part dried really quickly once the sun came out – I just wiped it down with a towel and it was good to go.
The whole set weighs about 52 pounds, which means I can move it around my balcony to follow the sun or shade. It’s definitely sturdier than it looks in the pictures – the brown wicker with the orange cushions is a nice combo that looks more expensive than what I paid.
To be honest, I was on the fence about this purchase, but I’m really glad I went for it. It’s transformed my sad little outdoor space into somewhere I actually want to hang out. Kind of wish I’d bought it sooner!
