# Culanta Full Body Massage Chair with Zero Gravity, Shiatsu, Airbags, Foot Rollers, Yoga Stretch, and Heating (U1-Black)
Let me tell you, I’ve tried a bunch of massage chairs over the years, but this Culanta one has honestly been a game-changer for my living room! I’ve had it for about two months now and it’s pretty much become my go-to spot after those long work days.
So this thing weighs about 133 pounds – definitely not something you’ll be moving around much once it’s set up. It fits pretty nicely in my space though, measuring around 55 x 29 x 44 inches when it’s upright. The black leather-look upholstery is actually really nice – way better than my old fabric massage chair that started pilling after like six months.
What really surprised me was this body scan feature it does when you first sit down. It takes about a minute where it kind of feels around your back and shoulders to figure out where to focus. At first I thought it wasn’t working because nothing was happening, but turns out the controls are disabled during this part – wish I’d known that before frantically pressing buttons!
I’ve been playing around with all five auto programs. The RELAX one is my favorite for weeknights when I’m kind of stressed but not super tight. The DEEP TISSUE setting, though? Whew! It’s no joke – feels like someone’s actually digging into those knots. Not gonna lie, the STRETCH program freaked me out a little the first time! It basically grabs your legs and arms and gives you this wild stretch that I didn’t expect, but now I love it after sitting at my desk all day.
The roller track is pretty impressive – it’s this 135cm SL-shaped thing that follows your spine from your neck all the way down to your butt. Way better than my friend’s chair that only hits the middle of your back. You can do all the usual massage styles – I’m personally a kneading girl, but the Shiatsu is good when my shoulders are really tight.
The airbag system is actually my husband’s favorite part. There are 32 of these things that inflate and squeeze your arms, legs, and even your feet. Kind of feels like someone’s gently kneading your muscles. The heating feature takes a while to warm up though – like a good 30 minutes before it really feels toasty. To be fair, once it gets going it’s pretty nice, especially on my lower back where I have that old injury.
The zero gravity thing is kind of wild! You press this button and suddenly you’re reclined back with your feet above your heart. Feels a bit weird at first but after a few minutes it’s actually super comfortable. You can adjust the angle up to 165 degrees which is basically lying flat – perfect for when I’m “watching TV” but actually want to nap!
The foot massage part is honestly better than the pedicure chairs at my salon. It’s got these rollers that press into all the right spots on your feet, plus the airbags squeeze your calves at the same time. My only complaint is that I’m 6’1″ and it’s supposedly made for people up to 5’9″ – but I found if you adjust the footrest just right, it still works fine for taller people.
One thing I really appreciate is how quiet it is. We can still watch TV while it’s running, unlike my parents’ old massage chair that sounded like a lawn mower! And assembly wasn’t bad at all – took my husband and me maybe 25 minutes following the instructions.
It’s been so worth it for my back issues from sitting at my desk all day. My teenage son has claimed it for after basketball practice too. Even my mom loves it when she visits – and she’s super picky about this stuff!
Just a heads up – that heating feature really does take a while to feel warm, so don’t give up on it too quickly like I almost did. And make sure you sit still during that initial body scan or it gets confused (learned that the hard way!).
Honestly, for what you get, I think it’s a pretty good value. Way cheaper than my monthly massage appointments were adding up to, and I can use it whenever I want while binging Netflix!
