CleverMade Tamarack Folding Acacia Wood Lounge Chair for Outdoor and Home Use – Cinnamon

I just got my hands on this CleverMade Tamarack chair, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed! It’s this gorgeous folding chair made from 100% FSC-certified acacia wood in this rich cinnamon color that just works anywhere. The sustainable thing is a nice bonus too—feels good knowing it’s from responsibly managed forests and all that.
What I really love is how versatile this thing is. I’ve been using it both on my small deck and sometimes in my living room corner when I have extra guests over. The wood has this water-resistant seal on it which is great, though to be fair, I still bring it inside when it looks like rain. They recommend applying some water-based sealant once a year, which I’ll probably get around to… eventually.
The whole boho-style vibe is definitely my aesthetic! It’s got this simple L-shape that somehow makes my outdoor space look way more put together than it actually is. The natural wood grain is just beautiful—kind of reminds me of the fancy patio furniture at that resort I stayed at last summer, but way more affordable.
One of the best things? It came fully assembled! I was dreading having to put something together (I’m terrible with instructions), but I literally just unfolded it and was good to go. The seat is super comfy for what it is—I’ve sat in it for a couple hours during a small get-together and didn’t get that uncomfortable chair feeling I usually do.
Weight-wise, it’s only about 18 pounds, which is lighter than my vacuum cleaner, so I can move it around pretty easily. I’ve been dragging it around my deck depending on where the sun is. It folds up really flat too—honestly wasn’t expecting that! I just slide it behind my couch when I’m not using it outside.
Size-wise, it’s about 30″ long, 21.5″ wide, and 31.5″ high when open, and the seat is a pretty standard height around 17 inches. When folded up, it’s like 44″ by 22″ by 5.5″ which is pretty compact. It holds up to 250 pounds, which has been plenty sturdy for everyone who’s tried it so far.
The wood seems really durable—apparently acacia naturally resists rot and bugs, which is nice because I’m not exactly the best at maintaining outdoor stuff. It’s got this nice substantial feel to it, not like those flimsy plastic chairs that make me nervous every time someone sits down.
