Bluey Foam Chair for Kids, Blue

Okay so we just brought home this Bluey Foam Chair for my 4-year-old daughter, and honestly, I’m kind of impressed with it! It’s meant for kids 3 and up, and can handle up to 100 pounds, which is pretty good since my daughter will definitely be using this for years. The seat is a bit taller than other kiddie chairs we’ve had, which is actually perfect because she’s tall for her age.
If your kid is obsessed with Bluey (and whose isn’t these days?), they’re going to absolutely flip for this chair. It’s got these super bright, colorful graphics of Bluey and Bingo all over it. My daughter literally squealed when she saw it—not exaggerating!
What I really like about this chair is that it’s got this high back and padded arms that make it actually comfortable, not like those flimsy fold-up chairs that are basically useless. It’s become her go-to spot for watching her shows (Bluey, obviously), looking at books, or just hanging out while I’m cooking dinner. The wooden feet are a nice touch too—they look way better than the plastic legs on her old chair and give it some stability. And it’s only like 8 pounds, so she can drag it around the house herself when she wants to be wherever I am, which happens, you know, constantly.
Size-wise, it fits her perfectly. The whole thing is about 21.6 inches wide, 16.1 inches deep, and 22 inches high. The seat itself sits about 10.5 inches off the ground, which is a bit higher than her previous chair but actually works better because her feet don’t dangle as awkwardly. The seat is about 13 inches wide and 11.5 inches deep, with a 12-inch backrest—pretty much perfect for little bodies.
To be fair, I was a bit worried about safety (because, parent), but this seems to meet all those CPSC standards, so that’s reassuring. The foam is firm enough to be supportive but still comfy, and the wood frame feels sturdy—it doesn’t wobble or tip when she climbs in and out fifty times a day.
As for the nitty-gritty details: It’s made with this dense foam that’s actually pretty nice quality, not the cheap stuff that flattens after a week. The wood frame gives it some heft, and the wooden feet have this natural finish that doesn’t look too kiddie, which I appreciate since it’s sitting in our living room. The fabric is some kind of polyester that’s been printed with Bluey graphics, and so far it’s held up to a juice spill with just some water and dish soap.
Like I said, it holds up to 100 pounds, which means her 7-year-old cousin can sit in it too (though they do fight over it, not gonna lie). Cleaning is pretty simple—just wipe it down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Nothing fancy needed.
Putting it together wasn’t bad at all—took maybe 10 minutes tops, and all the parts and instructions were there, which isn’t always the case with kid furniture!
My daughter has basically claimed this as her throne now. It’s “her spot,” and God help anyone who sits in it without permission! It’s actually kind of sweet to see her have something that’s just her size in a house full of grown-up furniture. And I swear she sits still longer when she’s in it, which is basically a miracle for a 4-year-old.
For those who don’t have kids living under a rock, Bluey is this Australian cartoon about a Blue Heeler puppy who plays these elaborate imaginative games with her sister Bingo and their parents. It’s honestly one of the few kids’ shows I don’t mind watching too—there’s some genuinely funny stuff in there for parents.
Overall, this chair has been a solid addition to our house. It’s comfier than I expected, looks cute without being an eyesore, and my daughter is absolutely in love with it. Win-win in my book!
