I finally found my perfect study companion – this blue mesh chair with a built-in desk!
So I’ve been working from home and taking some online classes lately, and my old setup was honestly killing my back. After searching forever (and dealing with prices that made me want to cry), I stumbled on this blue mesh student chair and figured I’d give it a shot.
First impression? It’s actually pretty nice for the price! The chair isn’t huge – about 19 by 22 inches wide and 35 inches tall – but it fits perfectly in my little apartment corner that I’ve designated as my “office” (aka the spot next to my TV, lol). It’s surprisingly lightweight too, like maybe 18 pounds or so, which means I can drag it around without throwing my back out even more.
The comfort is… well, not luxury-spa-level or anything, but definitely better than expected. The seat has decent padding, and the mesh back keeps things breathable when I’m stuck in 3-hour Zoom lectures. I’m kind of obsessed with the lumbar support though – my old chair had NONE and my lower back would be screaming by lunchtime. This one actually follows the curve of your spine, which makes a huge difference when you’re sitting for hours straight.
That little fold-out desk attachment? Total game-changer! It’s perfect for my tablet or notebook, and I can swing it away when I’m not using it. There’s even a cup holder which, not gonna lie, has saved my laptop from coffee disasters at least twice already. To be fair, I wish the desk part was a tiny bit bigger, but it works for most things I need.
Assembly wasn’t bad at all. Took me maybe 20 minutes, and I’m definitely not handy. Everything came with instructions that actually made sense (a miracle!), and I only had to text my dad for help once.
The metal frame feels surprisingly sturdy for something this light. I was worried it might wobble, but it’s pretty stable – I can fidget around (which I do constantly) without feeling like I’m about to tip over. I think they said it supports up to 250 pounds, which seems right.
One thing to note – since it’s handmade, there are some tiny imperfections here and there. Nothing major, just little things like small scratches that you’d barely notice unless you’re really looking. Honestly adds a bit of character compared to my boring old Ikea stuff.
If you’re looking for something comfy enough for studying or working from home that won’t take up your entire room or budget, this chair is worth checking out. It’s been a lifesaver for my online classes – way better than hunching over my coffee table like I was doing before!
