I recently upgraded my home office setup with this blue mesh chair that has a built-in desk, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my small apartment. I’ve been working from home a lot lately, and my dining table just wasn’t cutting it anymore.
The first thing that caught my eye was that vibrant blue color – it’s actually prettier in person than in the photos. I was torn between the blue and green options, but I’m pretty happy with my choice. It kinda brightens up my otherwise boring workspace corner.
So this chair is basically a 2-in-1 deal – you get a decent office chair PLUS an attached desk surface. The seat is fairly roomy (about 19.6 x 21.6 inches) which is nice because I’m not exactly tiny. The whole thing stands about 34 inches tall, which fits perfectly in the corner of my bedroom that I’ve converted into a mini office space.
Comfort-wise, it’s not bad at all! The mesh material is definitely a plus – I tend to run hot when I’m working, and my old chair would have me sticking to it after a couple hours. This one breathes way better. The lumbar support is a nice touch too. I wouldn’t say it’s as supportive as those fancy $500 ergonomic chairs, but for what I paid, I can’t complain. My back feels pretty good even after a few hours of work.
The attached desk is sturdy enough for my laptop and a notebook – it’s roughly 20 x 21 inches, which isn’t massive but does the job. I was worried it might wobble, but the metal frame is surprisingly stable. Speaking of which, the chair can supposedly hold up to 250 pounds, which seems about right judging by how solid it feels.
One feature I didn’t expect to appreciate so much is the cup holder! It’s such a simple thing but super convenient for keeping my coffee within reach without risking spills on my laptop. After knocking over one too many mugs on my old setup, this is honestly a lifesaver.
The folding design is another big win for me. My apartment isn’t huge, so when my parents visit and I need to make space, I can just fold it up and tuck it away in my closet. Way more practical than my old bulky office chair that was always in the way.
Assembly wasn’t too bad – took me maybe 25 minutes with a glass of wine in hand (probably would’ve been 15 without it, lol). All the parts were there, and the instructions were clear enough. Not IKEA-level simple, but certainly not complicated.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say the weight listing must be wrong – there’s no way this chair weighs just 1 gram! It’s light enough to move around easily, but I’d guess it’s around 15-20 pounds. Also, the photos show a laptop and some cute desk accessories, but just to be clear, you’re only getting the chair itself.
Overall, for a compact workspace solution that doesn’t break the bank or take over your entire room, this chair-desk combo has been pretty great. Perfect for my WFH days or when I need to focus on some side projects away from the distractions of my couch.
