I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my old, worn-out couch—best decision ever! This Merluxy beige 3-seater has honestly transformed my living room.
Let me tell you, this thing is HUGE and so comfy. I’m kind of picky about couches, but the 23-inch wide seats mean my husband, myself, and our friend can all sit without that awkward shoulder-touching thing happening. The 24-inch deep seats are a game-changer—like, I can actually curl up with my legs tucked under or sprawl out when binging Netflix. Those 8-inch armrests? Perfect for balancing my coffee mug (though probably shouldn’t admit that!).
The cushions have this perfect balance where they’re soft but don’t swallow you whole, if that makes sense? They sort of contour to your body without turning into a saggy mess. And I appreciate the 19-inch seat height—my mom visited last weekend and didn’t do her usual struggling-to-stand-up thing.
The fabric is this chenille material that feels way more expensive than what I paid. It’s got this subtle fuzzy texture that’s super soft—our cat is obsessed with it, but to be fair, it’s holding up really well against her claws. The beige color (more like a warm cream) goes with literally everything in my apartment. I was nervous about light upholstery, but it’s actually pretty forgiving with spills—just wiped up some wine with a damp cloth and good as new!
Style-wise, it’s got that clean, modern look without being too cold or IKEA-ish. The straight lines are sleek but not uncomfortable. It’s pretty big (89 inches wide!), but doesn’t overwhelm my medium-sized living room. I like how the metal legs lift it slightly off the ground—makes vacuuming underneath way easier than my old couch that sat flush on the floor.
Construction seems really solid—no creaking or wobbling when people flop down on it. Supposedly holds up to 900 pounds, which I haven’t tested, but it definitely feels sturdy. The back pillows are filled differently than the seat cushions—they’re super soft and I can adjust them however I want.
Assembly wasn’t bad at all. Everything came in one big box (which was pretty heavy, not gonna lie). My boyfriend and I had it together in about 20 minutes, and that included stopping to let the cat investigate the packaging. The instructions were pretty straightforward, and I thought it was clever how they tucked the back pillows inside the armrests for shipping.
For anyone wondering, it works really well as both an everyday couch and when hosting. We had friends over for movie night last week, and everyone was fighting over who got to sit on the “good couch.” It’s definitely become the centerpiece of our living room.
