So I just got this BEEY chaise lounge for my apartment, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with it. First things first – if you’re putting it together, don’t freak out when you can’t find the parts! There’s actually a zipper under the base where they’ve hidden all the pieces. Learned that one the hard way after frantically checking the box three times!
The fabric is this nice linen material that feels kind of luxurious against your skin – definitely not that scratchy cheap stuff you sometimes get with budget furniture. I was actually surprised by how comfortable it is. The cushioning has this high-density foam that’s pretty supportive but still soft enough that I accidentally dozed off while reading on it last night. The backrest and armrest have the same foam, which is great because my old chair had that awful thin padding that flattened within a month.
Size-wise, it’s perfect for my tiny apartment – about 59″ long, 34″ wide, and 33.5″ high. The seat depth is 47″, which is deep enough that I can fully stretch out (I’m 5’8″), and the seat height is 17.5″ – just right for my short legs to touch the floor comfortably. The width varies from 23″ to 34.5″, so it’s definitely roomy enough to curl up on.
Putting it together wasn’t bad at all. To be fair, I’m usually terrible with assembly (my bookshelf is still slightly wobbly), but this just took me about 15 minutes to attach the legs, armrest, and backrest. All the instructions and hardware were in that zipper compartment I mentioned.
What really surprised me was how sturdy this thing is! The frame is actual solid wood, not that particle board junk, and the legs are made of this heavy-duty polypropylene material. It can supposedly hold up to 400 pounds, which seems kind of crazy for how sleek it looks. My cousin who’s a pretty big guy sat on it when he visited, and there wasn’t even a creak.
I got it in dark gray, which matches my somewhat attempt at a “modern minimalist” vibe. It has these little metal rivets along the edges and some button tufting on the back that make it look way more expensive than it was. My mom actually thought I splurged when she saw it on our video call!
The best part is how versatile it is. Last weekend, my friend crashed at my place after a night out, and she slept on it instead of my lumpy old air mattress. She said it was comfier than her own bed, which might’ve been the hangover talking, but still! I mostly use it for reading and Netflix marathons, but it’s nice knowing it can double as a guest bed.
One thing that’s been super helpful is that the cushions come off, which makes cleaning way easier. My cat already tried to claim it (of course), so being able to remove hair has been a lifesaver. The fabric seems pretty durable too – I already wiped off a coffee spill with no stains.
Just FYI, the dimensions might be slightly off from what’s listed – mine seemed about half an inch narrower, but that actually worked better for my space. And the color is a bit darker in person than in the photos, but I actually prefer it that way.







I was originally just looking for something to fill that awkward empty corner in my living room, but this has become my favorite spot in the apartment. It’s really the perfect middle ground between a chair and a sofa – great for when you want to lounge but don’t have space for a full couch. Definitely beats my old IKEA chair that gave me backaches after 20 minutes! Whether I’m reading, watching shows, or just need a spot for an afternoon nap, this chaise has been a total game-changer.
