Banana-Shaped Bean Bag Sofa Chair with Mesh Cloth

Okay, so I’m reviewing this banana bean bag chair and honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first ordered it. I mean, a banana-shaped chair? But let me tell you, this BKEKM Banana Bean Bag has totally become my favorite spot in the apartment!
I’ve had my fair share of bean bags over the years, but there’s something kind of special about this one. First off, it’s definitely an eye-catcher – everyone who visits asks about my giant banana in the living room, which is pretty hilarious. The bright yellow color is actually nicer in person than I thought it would be, not that cheap-looking yellow you sometimes get with novelty furniture.
Comfort-wise, it’s surprisingly good. The EPP particles inside (that’s Expanded Polypropylene for anyone wondering) make a huge difference compared to my old bean bag that used those cheap foam beads. This one actually holds its shape really well and doesn’t go flat when I’ve been sitting in it for hours binging shows. It molds to your body in a way that’s super comfortable – I’ve accidentally fallen asleep in it twice now!
The mesh fabric is probably my favorite feature, to be honest. My apartment gets pretty warm in the summer, and my old leather bean bag would get all sticky and uncomfortable. This one breathes really well, so no more sweaty back issues, which is a massive plus. The fabric feels nice too – not scratchy at all like some mesh can be.
Size-wise, it’s pretty much perfect for my small apartment. It’s about 43 inches tall and around 27 inches wide and deep (or 100 x 70 x 70 cm if you’re into the metric system). Not too huge, but definitely big enough for me to curl up in. I was shocked at how light it is though – only about 700 grams! I can easily move it from my living room to the balcony when I want to read outside, which I didn’t expect at all.
The best part? I’m honestly pretty lazy when it comes to cleaning, and this thing is super low maintenance. The cover zips off easily and can go right in the washing machine. I spilled coffee on it last week (classic me), and it cleaned up perfectly.
For anyone wondering about setup – there isn’t any. It showed up ready to use, which was perfect because I’m terrible with assembly instructions. Just took it out of the box and plopped it down in my reading nook.
It’s been great for pretty much everything – gaming sessions, Netflix marathons, reading, even took a work call from it the other day (probably not the most professional choice but hey, I was comfortable). My nephew loves it when he visits too, though I have to fight him for it!
To be fair, it’s not quite as supportive as my actual couch, but that’s not really what bean bags are for anyway. For what it is, I’d say it’s pretty darn good value. Definitely more comfortable than other bean bags I’ve tried in this price range.
