I got my hands on the BABYZEN YOYO2 stroller a few months ago, and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for our family. At just 13.6 lbs, this thing is crazy lightweight – I can actually pick it up with one hand while holding my wiggly toddler with the other! The compact fold (about 20.5 x 17.3 x 7.1 inches) is pretty impressive too. What I love most is how it steers with just one hand, which is super handy when I’m juggling my phone or a coffee. There’s this little zippered pocket in the back that’s perfect for stashing diapers and my wallet. The suspension is surprisingly good too – definitely handles our neighborhood’s cracked sidewalks way better than I expected.
Travel with this stroller? Absolute breeze! It folds up in literally seconds (once you get the hang of it) and fits in overhead bins on planes. We took it to visit my parents last month, and I was kind of shocked at how easy it was to manage in the airport. So much better than our old bulky stroller that was a nightmare to lug around. The protective bag it comes with is a nice touch – keeps it from getting all scratched up when we check it.
What sold me on the YOYO2 was how long we could use it. My sister-in-law’s stroller only lasted like a year before her kid outgrew it, but this one supports up to 48.5 lbs, which is pretty impressive for something so lightweight. We didn’t get the newborn accessories since our little one was already 8 months when we bought it, but it’s nice to know they’re available. The recline goes back pretty far (up to 145 degrees), which is perfect for those on-the-go naps. The harness is secure but not too complicated – I can buckle and unbuckle it half-asleep, which happens more often than I’d like to admit!
We went with the Air France Blue color, and it’s gorgeous in person – kind of this perfect medium blue that doesn’t show dirt too badly. I’m tempted to grab the cup holder attachment because, to be fair, that’s the one thing I really miss from our old stroller. The canopy provides decent shade, and the fabric feels nice and sturdy. We live in Arizona, so the UPF 50+ protection is a must-have for us.
The whole package is pretty complete right out of the box – you get the black frame, harness, reclining backrest, canopy, shoulder strap, storage bag, and all the cushions in that pretty blue color. The build quality feels solid, definitely not like some of the flimsy strollers I was looking at that were around the same price point.
All the specs aside, this stroller just fits our lifestyle. We’re in a small apartment, take public transport a lot, and visit family across the country pretty regularly. It’s way easier to manage than our friend’s stroller – she’s always struggling to get hers in and out of her car trunk while I just fold mine up and toss it over my shoulder. Not gonna lie, I feel a little smug every time!
