Arabic Majlis Sofa and Floor Seating for Living Room

So I finally got my hands on this Arabic Majlis Sofa set, and honestly, I’m kind of blown away by how much you actually get! The set came with 5 pieces – there’s this big floor cushion, two backrest pillows, and two armrests. What I really appreciated was that everything arrived with the fillings already inside (unlike that IKEA disaster I dealt with last month). Just open the box and you’re good to go!
The foam filling is pretty impressive. It’s firm enough that you don’t sink in completely, but still super comfy for lounging around. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it’s holding its shape way better than my old floor cushions that went flat after like two movie nights.
I set mine up in my living room, but I’m already thinking about getting another one for my home office. My friend has something similar in her conservatory, and it looks amazing there too. The embroidered fabric has this bohemian vibe that works with pretty much any style – it actually upgraded my basic apartment decor without trying too hard. The patterns are gorgeous and detailed on both sides (which is nice because my old cushions had plain backs that looked cheap when turned around).
Cleaning is a breeze, to be fair. There are hidden zippers on all the covers so you can take them off and wash them. I accidentally spilled some coffee on mine (typical me!), but it came out fine in the washing machine. Just don’t put it in the dryer – I learned that lesson the hard way with other cushions.
The unboxing was a bit of an experience. Everything comes vacuum-sealed, which makes sense for shipping something this big. It took about a day for the foam to fully expand to its normal size and firmness. Word of warning though – you do need to put it against a wall since it doesn’t stand up on its own. I found that out the hard way when I first tried setting it up in the middle of my room!
Size-wise, it’s pretty generous – about 75 inches long and 27 inches wide, with the backrest pillows standing about 20 inches tall. It’s bigger than I expected, which is actually great because my 6’2″ boyfriend can stretch out comfortably.
The whole thing supports a ton of weight too – supposedly up to 550 pounds! I had four friends over for a movie night, and we were all sitting on it without any issues. The fabric feels really durable, not like it’s going to tear or wear out after a few months of use.
I’m honestly considering using their custom order service to get another one in colors that match my bedroom. It’s such a versatile piece – works for sitting, lounging, and I’ve definitely fallen asleep on it more than once while binge-watching shows.
