Aqua Outdoors In-Pool Chaise Lounger, Set of 2, White Granite
So I finally bit the bullet and upgraded our pool area with these Aqua Outdoors in-pool loungers, and honestly? Total game changer for our summer hangouts. We’ve had them about two months now, and I’m kinda kicking myself for not getting them sooner.
These things are built to last, which was a big selling point for me after our last set basically disintegrated after one season. They’re made with this UV16-rated resin that’s apparently super resistant to all the elements—sun, rain, whatever Mother Nature throws at them. Our backyard in Arizona gets absolutely baked in summer heat, so durability was non-negotiable. So far, they’ve held up beautifully with no fading at all, which is pretty impressive.
The comfort level is definitely a step up from our old loungers. They’ve got this contoured shape that just feels right when you’re lying back with a drink (margarita in my case!). My wife and I have spent entire afternoons just chilling on the tanning ledge of our pool, and I haven’t had any of that lower back pain I used to get with our previous setup.
One thing I was worried about was compatibility with our saltwater pool—we had issues with metal furniture corroding before—but these work perfectly with any pool type. They sit in water up to 9 inches deep, which fits our tanning ledge just right. I have a buddy with a deeper shelf who bought the risers they sell separately, and he says that worked out well too.
Setting them up was way easier than I expected. You basically just dunk them underwater, give them a little wiggle to get the air bubbles out, and they fill with water which keeps them anchored. No more chasing furniture across the pool when it gets windy! That was always such a pain with our old floating loungers.
I’m not usually one to care about where products are made, but it’s kind of nice knowing these are manufactured in the USA. Their customer service team (based in Texas) was super helpful when I called with a question about cleaning recommendations.
The specs are pretty solid—each lounger is about 6 feet long, just over 2 feet wide, and they can hold up to 300 pounds. We got the White Granite color, which looks really clean and modern against our pool tiles. The whole set weighs about 140 pounds when dry, so they’re substantial, but we don’t move them much anyway.
To be fair, these weren’t cheap—definitely an investment compared to the budget options out there. But after going through three sets of lesser-quality loungers in the past five years, I’m pretty sure these will actually save us money in the long run. Plus, the comfort level is just not comparable to the cheaper stuff we’ve tried.
The only slight downside is that they’re pretty heavy when you need to move them, but that’s also why they don’t float away, so I can’t really complain. And since they’re made to stay outside year-round, we don’t have to worry about storage anyway.
