Adjustable Cross-Legged Office Chair with Lumbar Support and Wheels, Ivory
So I finally caved and got one of these trendy cross-legged office chairs after my back was killing me from WFH for months. Honestly? I’m kinda kicking myself for not trying this sooner!
This chair is pretty unique – it’s got this patented design that lets you sit in basically any position you want. I’m one of those people who can never sit still and always ends up with my legs tucked under me (driving my chiropractor crazy), so this has been a game-changer. You can sit cross-legged, squat, kneel, whatever feels good. The ivory color looks way better in my home office than I expected – more sophisticated than the standard black office chair vibe.
The whole “active sitting” thing they advertise is legit. I find myself naturally shifting positions throughout the day, and I’m not getting that afternoon fatigue I used to. My back feels better, and I’m not fidgeting as much in meetings (well, still some, but that’s just me!).
What I really love is the swivel footstool that rotates 360 degrees. You can easily switch between sitting cross-legged to normal sitting when you need to. The wheels are pretty solid too – they roll smoothly on my hardwood floors and even over my area rug without scratching anything up.
Comfort-wise, it’s not bad at all. The seat cushion is super thick (3.7 inches they say) which makes sitting cross-legged for long periods doable. The footstool has 1.5-inch padding which is enough to keep my ankles from getting sore. The backrest is this weird crescent shape that actually supports my lower back pretty well. I’m 5’7″ and the height adjustment (18-22 inches) works fine for my desk.
This thing is sturdy too – definitely doesn’t feel cheap. The frame is alloy steel, and it handles my weight with no problem (they claim it supports up to 300 pounds). The ivory faux leather is surprisingly easy to clean. I spilled coffee on it the first week (typical me) and it wiped right off.
To be fair, it took me a day or two to get used to it. If you’ve never tried a chair like this, there’s a bit of an adjustment period. But now I can’t imagine going back to a regular office chair. I even find myself sitting cross-legged watching TV in the living room less often because I get my fix during work hours!
It’s comfier than my old office chair, better for my posture, and honestly just makes working from home feel a little less boring. If you’re someone who can’t sit still or likes to meditate during breaks, you’ll probably love this thing as much as I do.
