So I finally got my hands on this 75-inch convertible sleeper sofa from THSUPER, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with what you get for the price. I’ve been looking for something to put in my small apartment that could double as a guest bed when my sister visits, and this seemed like a decent option.
First off, this thing is seriously versatile. It switches from a regular 75-inch sofa to a queen bed without much hassle. What I really like is that you can adjust the backrest to different positions – flat for sleeping, kind of reclined for Netflix binges, or upright when I’m trying to be a responsible adult and work from home. The beige color I chose is pretty neutral and goes with basically everything in my apartment.
The comfort level is actually better than I expected. The foam is definitely high-density and doesn’t feel cheap like my last futon (ugh, college memories). It comes with two big back cushions that you can move around, which is nice for getting comfortable. What surprised me is how sturdy this thing is – the frame is hardwood, and even though the legs are plastic, it holds up to 1000 pounds! My cousin who’s, well, not exactly lightweight sat on it with his girlfriend, and it didn’t budge at all.
Setting it up wasn’t a nightmare either. Took me maybe 25 minutes? You just attach the legs first (all hardware included), and then the backrest and armrest click into place without needing tools. The instructions were clear enough that even I could follow them, and I’m the person who once built an IKEA shelf upside down.
The fabric feels pretty nice – it’s polyester but doesn’t look cheap or scratchy. I already spilled some wine on it (classic me) and it wiped right off with a damp cloth. The beige color works with my mostly neutral apartment, though I was kind of tempted by some of the bolder options.
I’ve had furniture from brands I’ve never heard of before that fell apart after a few months, but THSUPER seems legit. There’s a 1-year warranty, and when I had a question about assembly, their customer service actually responded pretty quickly.
If you’re working with a smaller space like me, this sofa makes a ton of sense. It’s comfier than my old pullout couch that had that awful metal bar that dug into your back. As a bed, it’s queen-sized (about 74″ wide by 60″ long), which is plenty of space for two people or one person who starfishes like me.
One thing I wasn’t expecting – it’s fairly heavy at 171 pounds, so maybe get someone to help you move it into place. I kind of underestimated that part and had an interesting time pushing it across my hardwood floors!
