So I finally bit the bullet and treated myself to this 4D Full Body Massage Chair in white, and honestly? Best splurge I’ve made in years! My back has been killing me from working at home, and I was skeptical about whether a massage chair could actually help, but wow.
This thing is pretty impressive looking – kind of sleek and futuristic with that white polyurethane exterior. It’s definitely substantial (weighs about 140 pounds), but not as bulky as I feared. We managed to fit it perfectly in our living room corner, and it only needs about 4 inches from the wall, which is great because our space isn’t exactly massive.
The graphene heating for your lower back is honestly amazing. After a long day, that warmth (it gets to somewhere between 104°F and 122°F) just melts away tension. I didn’t expect the foot and calf massage to be such a big deal, but oh my god – the foot rollers hit pressure points I didn’t even know existed! My husband says it’s better than the reflexology place he used to go to, which is saying something.
There are 8 different auto modes, which is pretty convenient when you’re too tired to figure out what you want. I generally bounce between the relaxation and pain relief ones. You can choose from kneading, tapping, knocking, clapping, shiatsu, or scraping – the scraping one felt weird at first but I’m kinda into it now. The 4D rollers actually do feel surprisingly like real hands – not 100% the same as a real massage, to be fair, but way closer than I expected.
What’s cool is how it scans your body before starting. I’m 5’8″ and my sister who’s only 5’2″ can both use it comfortably (it works for people between 5’0″ and 6’2″, up to 300 pounds). The zero gravity feature is probably my favorite thing ever – it just takes all the pressure off your spine and you feel like you’re floating. The SL track follows your spine from neck to thighs, which feels much more natural than my friend’s older massage chair that only does your back.
I love connecting my phone via Bluetooth and zoning out to podcasts while getting massaged. There’s even a USB charging port, which is handy because these sessions drain my phone battery from all the Instagram scrolling I do while relaxing!
The yoga stretch function kind of freaked me out the first time – it really extends your body! But it’s so good after my weekend hikes. I was worried about assembly, but it basically arrived ready to go – took maybe 5 minutes to set up, which was a huge relief.
Only downside is that sessions max out at 30 minutes, and sometimes I could honestly stay in it for hours. But maybe that’s for the best – I’d probably never leave otherwise!
For anyone wondering about the specs – it uses standard power (110-120V), consumes about 150 watts, and comes with a 3-year warranty. Dimensions are roughly 55″ long by 30″ wide by 45″ high when sitting up, and extends to about 70″ long when reclined.
All in all, it’s comfier than my actual sofa and definitely cheaper than all the massage therapy appointments I was booking. If you’re on the fence like I was, just go for it!
