Disney Baby Mickey Peeking 3D High Chair

So I finally got my hands on the Disney Baby Mickey Peeking 3D High Chair, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed! I’ve been through three high chairs with my kids, and this one is definitely a step up from what we had before.
When it arrived, I was kind of worried it would be another bulky monstrosity taking over my kitchen, but it’s actually not bad at all – about 41 inches tall, 24.4 inches wide and 32.5 inches deep. It’s around 18.5 pounds, which isn’t the lightest thing ever, but I can still move it around without throwing my back out, you know?
The thing that sold me was definitely the fold-up feature. Our kitchen isn’t huge, and my last high chair was constantly in the way. This one folds down to just 11 inches deep and stands on its own when folded, which is seriously a game-changer. We took it to my mom’s house last weekend and it fit in the trunk with all our other baby gear, which never happens!
The Mickey Mouse design is super cute – my toddler actually points at it and gets excited for mealtime now, which makes my life so much easier. The seat pad has this adorable little ruffle and Mickey peeking out. It’s made of this polyester material that I can just wipe down, thank goodness. After that spaghetti incident last week, I was grateful I didn’t have to deal with fabric that absorbs everything!
The 5-point harness is pretty sturdy. My little escape artist hasn’t figured out how to wriggle free yet, which is saying something! It’s supposed to hold kids up to 50 pounds or around 3 years, so we should get plenty of use out of it.
Oh, and the tray? Love that it adjusts to three positions. My daughter went through a growth spurt recently and I didn’t have to buy anything new, just adjusted the tray forward. The dishwasher-safe insert is probably my favorite feature though – I just pop it out and throw it in with the dinner dishes. And being able to remove the whole tray with one hand is so convenient when you’re juggling a squirmy baby and trying not to spill food everywhere.
The frame feels pretty solid – it’s steel and heavy-duty plastic. The non-slip feet are nice too, especially on our kitchen tile where everything seems to slide around. We’ve been using it both pulled up to the table for family dinners and as a standalone chair for snack time.
To be fair, assembly took me a bit longer than I expected (what is it with baby gear instructions?), but once it was together, it’s been working great. For the price, it’s pretty good value compared to some of the fancier high chairs I was looking at that cost twice as much.
