I’ve honestly never been so glad to have found a baby chair than when I discovered the Baby Delight Venture. So, I’m a mom of two kids (4 and 7) and we’re constantly on the move – beach trips, visiting the grandparents, soccer games, you name it.
This chair has kind of been a game-changer for us. It’s super lightweight – only 6.5 pounds! – which is way lighter than that bulky high chair thing we had for our first kid. When it’s folded up, it’s pretty compact (about 22″ x 7″ x 7″), and it comes with its own carry bag, which is actually convenient and not just a marketing gimmick.
The coolest part? This chair grows with your kid! We got it when my youngest was around 8 months old for the sitting mode (it holds up to 20 lbs that way), but now he’s in the standing mode (goes up to 40 lbs). And get this – my 7-year-old can still use it in “big kid mode” when we’re camping because it handles up to 75 lbs. That’s honestly such good value compared to all those other baby products that you use for like, three months tops.
The features are actually pretty well thought out. There’s this removable tray that’s BPA-free (about 12″ wide by 6″ deep) which is nice for snacks or toys. To be fair, my kid did manage to knock it off once when he was having a moment, but it’s generally secure. The sun canopy has been a lifesaver at beach days – it’s got UPF 50+ protection, and you can take it off when you don’t need it.
I didn’t expect the fabric to hold up as well as it has! It’s this indoor/outdoor polyester that hasn’t faded even though we’ve had it out in the sun a ton. The best part? You can throw it in the washing machine when your kid inevitably spills juice all over it (ask me how I know…).
Safety-wise, it feels way more stable than that cheap portable high chair my sister has. The legs flare out to about 24″ wide by 22″ deep, so it doesn’t tip even on slightly uneven ground. When my little one was in sitting mode, the 5-point harness kept him secure but wasn’t uncomfortable – it’s padded so it doesn’t dig into their skin like some others I’ve tried.
I’m not usually one to care where products are made, but it’s kind of cool that Baby Delight is based in Rhode Island. They’ve apparently been around for over 20 years, which explains why the design feels so practical.

We’ve been using our grey Venture chair for nearly everything lately. The 5-point harness was a must when my youngest was smaller – way better than those 3-point ones that kids figure out how to escape from! What’s pretty neat is how the seat transforms as they grow – you just undo some velcro to create leg holes when they’re ready to stand.
My oldest still uses it occasionally in big kid mode, especially when we’re having outdoor movie nights. The fabric has held up through rainstorms and spills (and trust me, there have been many). The UPF 50+ canopy is a detail I didn’t think I’d care about until we spent a full day at my son’s soccer tournament – definitely prevented a nasty sunburn!
The chair stands about 24″ tall in sitting mode, which is a good height for most tables. The seat is about 12″ wide, which has been comfortable for both my skinny 4-year-old and my more solidly-built 7-year-old. And while the aluminum frame is lightweight, it’s surprisingly sturdy – my oldest is pushing the weight limit at around 65 lbs and it’s still going strong. The non-slip feet are a nice touch too – works great on our deck and even on beach sand, which is more than I can say for my camping chair!
